I. OBJECTIVES At the end of the lesson, learners are expected to:


 Recognized the difference between common
and proper noun.
 Choose the common or proper noun used in
the sentence.
 Use common or proper noun in a sentence.

IV. PROCEDURES
A. Introduction  The teacher will post a video about Noun Song
(2 days to be taught.) on his/her screen for the learners to watch, listen
and/or to sing along on.
 After watching the video the learners will be
asked about what is a noun.
 The teacher will post some pictures as an
example of nouns and will request the learners
to identify if it is a person, place, animal, things
or an idea.
 The student will answer through posting their
comments in the comment section of the
streamed video of their teacher in the google
classroom.
 After the learners posted their comments and
the teacher has settled all the answers, the
teacher will now proceed to the next short
activity: LET’S HUNT: Recognizing nouns in a
simple sentences. The teacher will now flash
the sentences and will let the learners read all
the sentences and tell all the nouns that are
included in the sentences.

 After 3 – 5 minutes of answering, the teacher will


now present to the learners the two kinds of
nouns: Common Noun and Proper noun
through a power point presentation that he/she
will post in the google classroom.

Goal Orientation:
 The teacher will share the objectives of the
lesson and the different means of achieving
them to his/her class.
B. Development What I know?
(3 days to be taught.)  Through the discussion/presentation of the
lesson the teacher will ask the learners to
give the sentences that includes nouns from
the dialogue that they have read in the
presentation.

 Identify which category the underlined noun


in each sentence belongs. Write the letter of
your answer in your notebook.

 The teacher will now flash the expected answers


from the last question that she asked the
learners to answer.
 Each sentences that is flashed on the screen
has its noun highlighted, it is to show how each
noun is differentiated from each other, through
how it is written whether the first letter of the
word is written in Capital letter or Small letter,
and if the word is written in general form or
specific form.
 The teacher will now let the students to read the
sentences, ask them what do them notice about
the highlighted noun/word (is the first letter
written in capital or not, is the noun has a name
or none.)
 The teacher will now flash to the screen the
definition of the two kinds of noun: Common
Noun and Proper Noun.
C. Engagement The teacher will post various activities to be answered
(3 days to be taught.) by the pupils.

The common nouns and proper nouns got mixed


together in the cloud. Write each noun under the proper
heading.

The teacher will give the summary of the topic for the
pupils to remember the significant details of the lesson.

Common nouns are common names of persons,


things, paces, animals or events. It is only capitalized if
it is part of a title or it is used in the beginning of the
sentence, if not it can all be written in small letters.

Proper nouns are specific names of persons, things,


places, animals, and events. When it is a name of a
person or a place the first letter of the word should be
written in capital letter.

The teacher will now give the opportunity to the learners


for them to write simple sentences using the nouns
given.

V. REFLECTION The learners will create a simple sentence in his/her
screen to show insights about the learning that he/she
has gained about the topic.
