RATIONALE:
Aligned with its vision, mission, core values, and (name of school) Guiding Principles as a learner-centered public institution, the (name of school) Faculty
Development Program provides appropriate and relevant educational experiences in the aspects of Intellectual Development, Physical Development, Spiritual
Development, and Social Development to (name of school) faculty members who are at the forefront of teaching-learning, research and community engagement in
their specific disciplines.
Challenged by globalization, increasing demands of industry, and the influx of the K-to-12 Curriculum, (name of school) is committed to develop, nourish and
support a pool of faculty who are academic frontrunners — abreast with cutting-edge development and innovation in their fields of specialization and pursue holistic
growth as persons and as learners. While the Faculty Development Program has the faculty member’s integral growth as its immediate end, ultimately it is the
students who will benefit from the presence of holistically trained faculty members whose pursuit for excellence is to build a culture for learning based on
collaboration, teamwork, and shared vision.
This program is only one of (name of school) continuing efforts that seek to ensure the vitality, relevance and effectiveness of its educational mission. The Faculty
Development Program is anchored on an over-arching principle of the Department of Education to develop and sustain quality faculty committed to life-long
personal and professional improvement and service.
