    ACTIVITY 1: Guide Questions: Answer the following questions brief and direct.

    1. How do Rizalista groups view Jose Rizal and other national heroes?

    Rizalistas’ worship Rizal as they believed Rizal is divine. They acknowledge


    Rizal as resemble God, also they surmised that Rizal was the reincarnation of Christ due
    to some resemblance, both can cure and heal people, both of them are intelligent and
    talented and believed in the golden rule. And both battled for what should be done.

    2. What are the similarities between Jesus Christ and Rizal as seen by the millenarian
    groups?

    Based on what I remember on the Learning Material was said to be Jesus Christ
    and Jose Rizal were both Asians, they can cure people, Rizal is a doctor and Jesus Christ
    create miracles, they are both intelligent, Jesus Christ uses his words of wisdom to
    change a person mindset and belief while Rizal used his powerful words to gain
    Philippine Independence. They both care about humanity, for them, humans are humans
    they don't look after races, gender, and status.

    3. Name some influential women in various Rizalista groups and explain their significant
    roles in their respective organizations.

     Candida Balantac of ilocos norte is well-known as inang adarna. Adarnista or the


    Iglesia Pilipina is one of the Rizalista group who believed that Rizal is a God and
    there are four people in God: the father, the son, the holy spirit, and the other
    (Virgin mary). Her followers assume that she was an enchanted woman.
     Maria Bernarda Balitaan the suprema who founded Supreme de la Iglesia de la
    Cuidad Mistica de Dios, Inc. the biggest Rizalista group in Luzon. Balitaan
    believed that the mission of Jesus Christ on earth was not yet done and to be
    continued by Rizal.

    4. In today’s generation, how can you show the importance of remembering our national
    hero?
    To sum up, our national heroes are well respected and known for their heroism in
    fighting for the country and the independence of its people. I don't need to say what I can
    do to show how I acknowledge our national heroes, in the same time, the lessons and
    knowledge I obtain from their teachings is what I can pass through generation to
    generation. In that way, we can get the benefit of their words of wisdom and teaching and
    I can show how I remembered our national heroes.

    5. Do you agree on Rizalista’s statement that Rizal is the “God, King of All?” Why?

    We have different beliefs from different traditions, experiences, and ancestors.


    Even I do not agree I cannot change what they believe yet I disagree with their statement.
    Their statements were most like a theory: a theory is an idea of unproven things and
    phenomenon, therefore Rizal is a human with a gifted classification of God just like other
    Scientists who have proven many things about Earth that is useful till today. There is only
    One God but God is love that is why he sent an instrument to unite people and be an
    inspiration all over the world.

    ACTIVITY 2: Choose two Rizalista groups that were discussed. Using Venn Diagram, compare

    and contrast by showing the beliefs and practices that are similar and different between the two

    groups.
