I. INTRODUCTION:
Light bulbs, is one of the most influential inventions in the word. It makes us work more productive
at night and helps us enjoy more activities at night. It significantly changes people lives all over the world.
In this final output of the course – Control Engineering, this project is one of the numerous possible
applications of the said course. The objective of this output is to make a person’s life easier and convenient.
This output is a very helpful tasks among us as engineering students as it awakens our minds into innovation
and creativity. Thus, making a window of opportunity for a student to discover such wonders from the use
of the applications of the said course.
The project involves a light bulb, it is the main subject for testing and evidence that the invention is
working. This project is a helpful project, not only for the students, but also for the people who wants their
lives become easier than usual. After all the work for the main brain of the product/project, it only needs a
simple interaction of a human being to work. It only takes a clap for the light bulb to open, and another clap
for the light bulb to be turned off. This project is a great application nowadays as it only requires a bare
minimum of a person’s effort. Additionally, we all know that today’s time is a very busy era, there is not
much time for a tired person working to stand and walk meters away just to turn on or off the lights. That
kind of scenario is where this project is very suitable. This is a time-saver, where “time” is a very good
variable to be saved, not wasted.

II. MATERIAL USED

NAME IMAGE OF MATERIALS DESCRIPTION

The Arduino has an extensive support

community, which makes it a very easy
way to get started working with
1. Arduino Uno embedded electronics.

R3
The Arduino Uno R3 is a
microcontroller board based on a
removable, dual-inline-package (DIP)
ATmega328 AVR microcontroller.
Sound sensor is defined as a module
that detects sound waves through its

2. Sound Sensor intensity and converting it to electrical

signals.

Relay is an electrically operated

switch. It consists of a set of input
3. 5v Relay terminals for a single or multiple control
signals, and a set of operating contact
terminals

4. Jumping Jump wire is an electrical wire, or

group of them in a cable, with a
Wires
connector or pin at each end, which is
(male to normally used to interconnect the

male & male components of a breadboard or other

prototype or test circuit, internally or
to female)
with other equipment or components,
without soldering
A breadboard is a solderless device for
temporary prototype with electronics and
test circuit designs.

A breadboard is a rectangular plastic

5. Breadboard board with a bunch of tiny holes in it.
These holes let you easily insert
electronic components to prototype

The breadboard has strips of metal

underneath the board and connect the
holes on the top of the board.

Bulb is a device used to convert

electricity into light, enclosed within a

6. Bulb transparent or translucent shell, typically

having a rounded shape and designed to
be fitted into a socket in a lamp.

Socket or Bulb holder is a device

which mechanically supports and
7. Bulb Socket provides electrical connections for a
compatible electric lamp base.
An electrical wire is a conductor, a
material which conducts electricity. For
8. Electrical Wire household wiring, the material is either
copper or aluminum.

Electrical plugs, commonly known as

power plugs, are devices responsible for
supplying and drawing current from a
receptacle to the circuitry of an electrical
9. Electrical Plug appliance.

Electrical plugs consist of prongs or

pins supported by plastic support or
casing. Prongs are inserted into the holes
of an outlet or receptacle to establish the
electrical connection between the
appliance and the main power supply.

A data cable transmits information

through a binary electrical transmission
signal between systems.
10. Data Cable
This type of cable is only ideal for
transferring data between computers in a
network.
III. PROCEDURE/SCHEMATIC DIAGRAM

1. Follow the schematic diagram and connect every pins of sensor to the board.
 Vcc of sound sensor to 5v of arduino Board
 GND of sound sensor to GND of arduino board
 Digitalpin number 4 to DO of sound sensor
 Vcc of 5vRelay to 5v of arduino board
 GND of 5v Relay to GND of arduino board
 Digital pin number 0 to S (sensor) of 5v relay

2. Using the data cable upload the sketch of the program using the Arduino IDE (Save, Verify
and Upload)

3. Lastly, check the prototype program.

With the results of the product, we can conclude that this kind of concept will be a very marketable
variable in the aspect of businesses. In addition, the objective mentioned before, which is located in the
section of the introduction, it is said that the objective of the project is to help the people’s life in becoming
easier. The objective of the project has been attained and accomplished. By making a real-time scale for the
project, it will be a very practical and helpful product for the majority.
