How are you today? We are fine.
Before we start our lesson, let us pray first.
Let us pray.
Angel of God, my guardian dear. To whom God’s love
commits me here. Ever this day, be at my side, to light
and guard, to rule and guide. Amen

Good morning children! Good morning maam!

Our objective for today is to explain the use of water


from different sources in the context of daily activities.
At the end of our fifty-minute lesson, you will be able
to:
a. Explain the use of water in our daily activities;
b. Tell the uses of water from the different
sources and;
c. Display willingness in performing group activity.

Before we start our lesson, the following are our house
rules.

Now, I will group you into three. Each group will be


given strips of paper with the names of sources of
water. All you have to do is to raise the strip of paper
with the correct answer to the given description on the
board. Wait for my signal “Go”. The group that gets the
highest point is the winner.

1. It is salty. It is found in the seas and oceans. It is Seawater


also called hard water.
Go!

2. It is not salty. It is found in open but small Freshwater


bodies of water like rivers, lakes, creeks, and
ponds. It is also called soft water.
Go!

3. It is found beneath the earth’s surface. It comes Groundwater


from water that seeps into the ground. It is the
safest source of water.

4. They are solid water found only in very cold Glaciers and icebergs
countries and contain about two thirds of the
earth’s freshwater.

Teacher presents a presentation to the class about the
three main sources of water which are seawater,
freshwater, and groundwater.
We all know that some parts of the Earth don’t have
enough water. Even some parts of the Philippines
including some parts of Bislig City don’t have enough
potable water. Last year, we experienced scheduled
water interruption because water is getting scarce.
What will you do if one of your classmates will not able
to attend classes because of longer water interruption? I will let her borrow my note for the day mam.

Aside from that, I will also prepare a Learning Activity


Sheet for your classmate and have someone deliver for
him/her the LAS so that your classmate can still catch
up for our lessons.

identify it as seawater, freshwater, and groundwater.
They will choose one source of water and tell the use
of water from that source.

Group 2 will identify the freshwater source, seawater


source, and groundwater source in Bislig City and
explain the uses of water from the different water
sources in our daily activities.

Group 3 will draw the different sources of water and


tell the use of water from that source.
