“TEACHER”

AMEER JIAN ARAQUE

11- GAS 1 NUMBERS

INTRODUCTION:

Good day! Distinguished members of the Panel, and all of the concerned teachers, non-teaching
staffs and students of Asian Christian Technological School & Colleges who have gathered here
today. But before I deliver my speech, it’s my pleasure to Introduce my self first, I am Ameer
Jian Araque a Grade 11- Section 1 Numbers of GAS and a student of this prestigious school.

So before I start my topic let me ask a question first for all of you here inside of this room, do
you believe in the saying that “A good education can change anyone and A good teacher can
change everything!”?

BODY OF THE SPEECH:

Teaching has always been considered a noble profession. No good teacher looks for their own
success; they always have their students' present and future in mind. The influence a teacher has
on their students is huge. No matter what, a student always looks up to their teacher for help and
guidance. They are like second parents to the students; they play a part in moulding a child. It is
very important that a child have a good teacher to help make them intellectually, emotionally,
and morally strong. They are looked upon as a guide, a friend, and a selfless abode of love and
care. Their influence extends beyond the classroom. Their lights shine for those students to see
the roads they are heading. They need not be perfect, but they ought to be knowledgeable so as to
provide the students with the right information and considerate so as to be able to try and
understand every child. There are children who follow the footsteps of their teachers; they are
often a source of inspiration that needs to be cherished and valued. Teachers can do more than
just guide. They pave the way and let the children choose their own paths to become the best
versions of themselves in the future. To the world, you may be just another teacher, but for us,
you are our hero.

Why does teachers is the main topic of my speech? It's because teachers are giving me a lot of
inspiration. One of my inspirations is my teacher, just like my teacher in my elementary days.
She gave me support to study hard because she wanted me to finish my education. She asked me
one question, what I wanted to be, and I said I wanted to be like her, because. I wanted to be a
teacher. After that, she gave me support so that I can continue my dream. That is why teaching is
my topic.

Why do I want to become a teacher? Because my mother took also an education course in her
tertiary level, but it wasn’t meant to be her profession, but then I am standing in front of you to
say ‘I will be the one who will continue her dream”, and also to pursue my dream, people will
say that a teacher is not a profession; it's a patient person. "A teacher is the mother of all
professions." There are reasons why we have good doctors and nurses, intelligence, architects
and engineers, excellent lawyers, and many more. The teacher is the person who makes us
realize our own blessings and guides us until we have fully explored them. A teacher, like our
parents, always stays by our side. Every step that we took was accompanied by a teacher whose
sole interest was in our own growth and welfare. There are so many teachers that I personally
know who could have easily chosen their allocated professions; nevertheless, they chose to go
with their inner voice as they chose to enlighten the minds, and transporting lights could be a
more elegant social work than transforming noisy, stubborn kids into discipline-concerned,
progressive adults. We know that being a teacher is not easy. There are a lot of classes that they
need to finish, and a lot of lessons to explain to their students to make all things clear.

CONCLUSION:

Teachers are like our parents; they guide us through our way when we feel lost. They had always
taken care of us when we were at school, made us learn the difference between the right and the
wrong. There have been times when life was difficult, and our teachers have taught us to fight in
difficult times. Almost every student had one whom they always look up as their inspiration or
role models.

It is concluded that being a teacher it is a profession that encompasses the passion and desire to
motivate our children to develop their learning though we may face hardships and challenges but
in the end it provides us rewards. Teachers is what they said our second parent outside our home
in which they contribute more being a facilitator and guides us in developing skills for a brighter
future.
