Grade & Section: 12-Our Lady of Immaculate Conception

Instruction: Make a five-paragraph essay that answers the question “Who am I 10 years from
now?”.

First of all, I don’t know where to start because I have never been this proud of myself. Lets
start with a short introduction. I am Vincent Carlo Quizada Tadeo, the architect that designed this
building in front of us. We start from the bottom, now we’re here. A pleasant morning to all. *applaud*
We all have goals that we strive to achieve. Some, short term, others long term. Goals make our lives
exciting. They make us rise every morning to pursue them. Without them, life will have no thrill, with no
purpose and with no sense of direction. Every one of us has a purpose in this world. No one was born to
do nothing. Strive to discover who you are, what is your life mission and what is it that you want to
become. It is good to live a responsible and fully awake life. Always seize your moment and make that
moment count.

I am the eldest in us 3 siblings, and being eldest is really though because our family is not rich
but still, they give us the best life we deserve. That is what inspires me to come this far and aim for
more, even though life is really challenging. Being eldest in my younger days is really tough because I’ve
been managing our business as substitute for my father because he had a stroke and he could no longer
carry heavy objects like pigs, feeds and more. My family is my only inspiration of reaching this moment
because I want to give them the best life they truly deserve specially my mom that always keeps on
supporting me even though I am already an adult but still always spoil me like a child. I am not aiming to
give back all of the things my family gave me, what I am aiming for is that I give them the life they truly
deserve and that would make me really happy. Family is not an important thing. It’s everything.

How I wish my grandfather and grandmother see me in this stage as an architect. But we are
taking pictures after this right? I want to show them when I get home, I am sure they will be happy.
Courage, this is what led me up to this moment today as we go on. Perseverance is what built me up to
this moment to be with you all. Courage is not the absence of fear but rather the ability to overcome
fear when we truly want something. If you want something, grab it tight, don’t let it go, make it yours
because you deserve that. True courage lives inside you. Success is not final, failure is not fatal. It is the
courage to continue that counts.

To be honest, back when I was in grade 12, our beautiful teacher asked us this in our
activity, “Who am I 10 years from now”, I don’t really know what to answer that time and I was really
going to answer “Sir premium po ba o unleaded?”, but after a while I realized and asked myself that
what do I see myself 10 years from now? I am 28 years old, but what do I want to be? And I came to a
conclusion that I want to be an architect but it was not yet final, I have made a choice that when I go to
college and did not enter any schools that I want to study architecture, I will go straight to seminary. But
I guess priesthood was not for me yet, because I got accepted at University of the Philippines Diliman
and I studied really hard and do my best everytime which brought me up to this moment where I got to
have a talk to all of you as an architect. If the plan doesn’t work, make a new plan, don’t change the
goal.

To tell you the truth, back in my college days, I am a record holder in the 100m breaststroke with
a time of 56.46 seconds, just a little background in my swimming career hehe and I am planning on
having my own swim school and proudly teach little kids for free. Live your life to the fullest! Make every
moment count and cherish it while it lasts. You’ve gotta dance like there’s nobody watching, love like
you’ll never be hurt, sing like there’s nobody listening. And live like it’s heaven on earth. It is better to be
hated for what you are than to be loved for what you are not.

I am Architect Vincent Carlo Quizada Tadeo and I look forward to having business with all of you, thank
you for your time. God bless you always. *applaud*

Activity 3-Self-Assessment

Name: Vincent Carlo Quizada Tadeo Date Accomplished: August 28, 2020
Grade & Section: 12- Our Lady of Immaculate Conception

Situation:
Look around you. Notice the things that are happening to the world right now. Feel it.
Process it. This pandemic is trying to change us, to change you. What will you say about that?
What changes you? Is this pandemic really change you or just bring out the real you?

Instruction: Write a five-paragraph essay that answers the question above.

The pandemic did not just affected the life of the people in our country but the whole wide
world. It messed up all of the things we used to do. We are still adjusting to the changes to avoid such
sickness that can lead to death. All I can say is that I really do hope that this ends soonest, I used
“est” because I truly want to be back to the older days, because what matters to me most are the
lives of all those who live in the streets, the jeepney drivers and all those people who are forced to
postpone their jobs temporarily because of this pandemic.

Somehow, this pandemic changed us all. Through our mindset that we should start a
business to have income in our current situation, that’s why many people thought of online selling to
have income amidst the pandemic. But what makes me sad the most is the lives of our local jeepney
drivers who are forced to beg for money along the streets just to get money to sustain their family.
And it is not safe because Covid is no joke.

Challenges and problems come because it brings out the courage in us. It makes us
stronger and wiser. Life is about accepting challenges along the way, choosing to keep moving
forward, and cherishing every moment as we journey. Only those who dare to fail greatly can ever
achieve greatly. I believe that we can still rise from this bottomless pit, we are all in this together.
This pandemic really broke us all, but its just like what they say, “broken crayons still color”.

This pandemic did not just changed us all but brought out the best version of ourselves, we
did not give up, we did not chose to stay in the bottom and little by little we are reaching the top. You
learn something valuable from all of the significant events and people, but you never touch your true
potential until you challenge yourself to go beyond imposed limitations. This pandemic brings out the
real me because I have a lot of time to think just by myself. Little by little I am quite getting used to
this new normal. We can do this, if we only bring out the courage within ourselves. And another
problem is the African Swine Flu which affected many hogs and caused hograisers go bankrupt. The
problem we are facing is no joke, we should not be complacent in everything we do. Problems are not
stop signs, they are guidelines.

The pandemic really changed us all, because we are not the same like before. No more
hangouts because social distancing is needed to be done. We need to stay at home at all cause
because the cases are still increasing which has given our health workers a hard time. Remember that
Everyone has problems, but don’t lose your happiness because you focus too much on your problems.
No matter what happens, Pray, it works everytime. I am sure God has a plan for us all and He just
wants us to wait a little longer.
