For many years, food waste has been a common problem around the world. Edible food
is discarded at every point along the food chain: on farms, in retail stores, in restaurants and at
home. This huge amount of waste will not only affect the food availability around the world,
______ also leads to landscape pollution as most of the waste ends up in landfill. _________,
when food is left to rot in our landfills, it subsequently releases methane, a powerful greenhouse
gas twenty-five times stronger than carbon dioxide. ________, contributes to climate change and
causes harm to biodiversity.
Other than environmental problems, it also leads to the problem of hunger among
students due to the high cost of living. ___________, to avoid waste and save money, students
can plan ahead and buy only what they need when doing their groceries. They also can be
creative with leftovers _________ simply buying more than needed.
In order to help students, we will provide one simple but healthy recipe to help them go
through their day. Following are the recipes to make your own “Egg and mayo sandwich”.
Thirdly, mash and mix the boiled eggs with mayonnaise in a bowl.
Finally, spread the egg mayo mixture onto another slice of bread, top with the other,
and cut into preferred sandwich shape.
Secondly, peel your boiled eggs and place them in a clean bowl
