Power of the Pitch
Long years ago we made a tryst with destiny, and now the time comes when we shall
redeem our pledge, not wholly or in full measure, but very substantially. At the stroke of
the midnight hour, when the world sleeps, India will awake to life and freedom.
JAWAHARLAL NEHRU
I have a dream that one day every valley shall be exalted, every hill and mountain shall
be made low, the rough places will be made plain, and the crooked places will be made
straight, and the glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together.
MARTIN LUTHER KING
This is the lesson: never give in, never give in, never, never, never, never—in nothing, great
or small, large or petty—never give in except to convictions of honour and good sense.
Never yield to force; never yield to the apparently overwhelming might of the enemy
WINSTON CHURCHILL
If we could change ourselves, the tendencies in the world would also change. As
a man changes his own nature, so does the attitude of the world change
towards him. We need not wait to see what others do
MAHATMA GANDHI.
