Answer ALL the following. 20 x 5 = 100 Marks
1. (a) Draw a parabola when the distance of the focus from the directrix is 60mm. Also draw a tangent and
normal at any point on the curve.
(or)
(b)Draw the front, side and top view of the following.

2. (a)A straight line AB of 50mm length has its end point A 15mm above the HP and the end B20mm infront
of the VP. The top view of the line is 40mm long and the elevation is 35mm long. Draw the projections of
the line and find the true inclinations of the line with VP and the HP.
(or)
(b)A hexagonal lamina of sides 25 mm rests on one of its sides on HP. The lamina makes 45 deg. to HP
and side on which it rests makes 30 deg. to VP. Draw its projections.
3. (a)A hexagonal prism of base side 25 mm and axis length 55 mm rests on the HP on one of its base corners
such that a solid diagonal passing through that corner is perpendicular to the HP. Draw its projections.
(or)
(b)A hexagonal pyramid of base edge 40 mm and altitude 80 mm rests on one of its base edges on the HP
with its axis inclined at 30 to the HP and parallel to the V.P. Draw its top and front views.
4. (a)A pentagonal pyramid of base 30 mm side and height 70 mm, stands with its base on HP such that one
of the base edge is parallel to the VP. It is cut by a section plane perpendicular to the VP and inclined at
30° to the HP bisecting the axis, Draw the development of the surface of the cut solid.
(or)
(b)A hexagonal prism of base side 35mm and axis length 55 mm is resting on HP on one of its base with
two of its vertical faces perpendicular to VP. It is cut by aplane inclined at 50 ° to HP and perpendicular
to VP and passing through a point at a distance 15mm from the top base. Draw its front view ,sectional
top viewand true shape of the section.
5. (a) A square of pyramid 30 mm axis length 50 mm is certainly placed on the top of a cube of side 50
mm, Draw the isometric projection of solids.
(or)
(b)A square pyramid having base of side 40 mm side and height 60 mm rests on the GP with an edge of the
base parallel to and 15 mm behind the picture plane. The station point is 90 mm above the GP and 75 mm
in front of the picture plane and lies in a central plane which is 40 mm towards the right of the axis of the
pyramid. Draw its perspective view.
