DETAILED LESSON PLAN

Bread and Pastry

I. Objectives

At the end of sixty-minute period, the students should be able to,

a. identify baking tools, utensils and equipment in making bread, cookies, muffins and
biscuits

b. value the importance of baking tools, utensils and equipment in making bread,
cookies, muffins and biscuits

c. draw and label the different baking tools, utensils and equipment
that are found in your kitchen at home.

Subject Matter

Topic: Baking tools,utensils and equipment in making bread, cookies ,muffins and
biscuits

Materials: Cartolina, Pentel pen, Tv and visual aid

a. Prayer
“Everybody stand, for our prayer.”
(The teacher will call the student to lead
the prayer.) ( all students stand for the prayer)

Student: “Let’s bow our head and put ourselves in


the presence of God. In the name of the father, the
son, and of the holy spirit… Amen!”
b. Greetings
(Teachers and students will greet each
other.)

“Good morning, Ma’am! Good morning,

c. Classroom Routines

“Before you take your seats kindly pick-up (students starts picking a pieces of paper)
the pieces under your chairs and arrange it
properly.”

(The teacher will ask class secretary those
who are absent)

Before we proceed to our new lesson lets
have a by group activity called “ WE ALL FIT
TOGETHER“
( the teacher will group the students into Direction: Arrange the jigsaw puzzle to form a

Is a set of marked cups
used to measure dry
ingredients such as flour
and sugar. They are
either made of plastic,
aluminum, or stainless
steel.

A set of spoons
used to measure small
quantities or amounts of
ingredients

DIETETIC SCALE
Is and instrument
used to measure the weight of
items or ingredients

DOUGH CUTTER
A tool with sharp
edge used to cut dough.

FLOUR SIFTER
Used in sifting coarse
or dry ingredients such as flour
and sugar.

ELECTRIC MIXER
A motor powered
device used to stir and blend
mixtures used in baking.

GRATER
A tool used to
grate food into
finer form such as
chocolates,
cheese, fruits and
vegetables.
MIXING BOWL
A hollow dish where
ingredients for baking is
mixed. It is also used for
mixing ingredients.

ROLLING PIN
A solid elongated
wood with handles at
both ends that is used
to flatten dough or
pastry.

RUBBER SCRAPER
A tool used for mixing
and scraping mixture on the
side of a bowl.

WOODEN SPOON
A tool used for mixing
and stirring flour mixtures.

BAKING UTENSILS

OVEN
An equipment used for
baking, heating, or drying
foods.

BAKING PAN
An aluminum or
tempered glass dish,
rectangular or square
in form used for
baking cakes.

MUFFIN PAN
An aluminum
rectangular or square
pan with hollow
rounded.
COOKIE OR BAKING
SHEETS
Is a flat aluminum sheet
used for baking cookies.

have 30 minutes to do the task.
