    Of late, at 132 kV SS, Kuppam the performance of the existing station


    batteries of make Standard Batteries found to be deteriorating as the battery
    terminal voltages are falling to abnormally low values (around 130 volts in 3
    Minutes) during AC supply failure which is leading to cascading emergencies.
    These batteries were commissioned in way back in the year 2000.

    Hence, it is requested that 1 No. 220 Volts, 80 AH Batteries set may please
    be allotted to replace the said aged and defective batteries set at 132 kV SS,
    Kuppam at the earliest possible please.
