1. Safety instructions

This equipment or any electrical work should be carried out by a suitable

trained or competent person
Disconnect and isolate the power supply before continuing any electrical
work
Before installing the panel, check the door is in good mechanical working
condition, balanced and opens and closes correctly using the manual haul
chain

Install the control unit adjacent to the door, at minimum height of 1.5m

For permanently connected equipment, the control panel must be connected

to a suitable disconnection device e.g an isolator or socket fitted as near as
practical to the door for means of isolation or maintenance purposes,
This device must be fused with a Type C circuit breaker of the lowest
nominal rating higher than the full load current of the motor

Connection of the power supply and motor must made using a suitably rated
cable

If the panel is supplied without an emergency stop button, provision is

available to incorporate this device, by connecting to the STOP terminal
Internal fuses must only be handled with the mains supply disconnected
The panel will revert to "hold-to run" control should one or more safety
devices fail

WORKING IN ACCORDANCE WITH EN13421 AND EN12453-1 STANDARDS

CONCERNING HOLD TO RUN (DEAD-MAN) OPERATION

The person operating the door must be fully trained and have a direct view
of the door
Releasing the push button or other operating device must stop the door
completely

FOR THIS UNIT TO PERFORM IN AUTOMATIC OPEN AND CLOSE

DIRECTIONS AND IN ACCORDANCE WITH EN 12453, 2 FORMS OF
SAFETY DEVICE MUST BE CONNECTED (E.G PHOTOCELL AND
SAFETY EDGE)
2. General

A versatile control panel with mechanical or digital limit position control for
KOSTAL or Elektromaten encoders
Fitted with power supply outputs of 24vac and 24vdc (max load of 700mA)
for ancillary devices such as photocells, safety edge, radar, wireless safety
edge and traffic lights
Front cover push buttons with LED indication
Inputs for switching devices including open and close buttons, partial
opening, emergency stop, limit switches, photocell and safety edge
Plug in connections for traffic light card and loop detector
Volt free outputs for door position status,
Other outputs include 230vac brake and 230vac flashing light, 24v photocell
test
Panel reverts to "hold-to-run" (dead-man) should a safety device fail
Internal LED diagnostics
