1::Wibree: A ignored
techno.
• Wibree is a short-range wireless protocol optimized
for low power consumption. Developed primarily by
Nokia.
• new wireless networking technology.
• However, Wibree will not be related to current Wi-Fi
technologies, due to the fact that it will not have the
range and bandwidth that Wi-Fi has.
• Instead, Wibree capacities will be more comparable
to Bluetooth, with a range of approximately 30 feet
(10m) and similar bandwidth as Bluetooth (1Mbps).
Continue…
• Wibree operates in the same 2.4 GHz
frequency band as Bluetooth.
• Which ensures backwards hardware
compatibility. Due to this, a single antenna
can support both protocols, and many
existing Bluetooth devices will require only
a simple software update to communicate
with Wibree devices.
Wibree Vs Bluetooth
• The advantage of Wibree over Bluetooth is
that it is a lot more power efficient, which
makes it ideal for use in smaller and less
costly devices than the ones currently using
Bluetooth.
• Automatic retransmission.

4::DASH 7
DASH 7
• DASH7 is a new wireless data technology
that evolved from a combination of
existing radio-frequency identification and
sensing technologies.
• Products with DASH7 capability built-in or
attached to them will dramatically simplify
the way we keep in touch with the "non-
human" world around us.
Continue..
• Operating at 433 MHz and transferring
data at up to 27.77kbps (potentially as
high as 250kpbs).
• DASH7 provides simple, lightweight, and
reliable communication between electronic
devices.
• DASH7 is both a "read" and "write"
technology that employs advanced power
management techniques to extend battery
life in terms of years, not hours.
Continue..
• while supporting a wide range of
electronic sensors to make it easy, for
example, to monitor the temperature of a
case of fine wine or to sound an alarm if
an intruder attempts to disable a DASH7-
enabled door lock.
• Communication between two DASH7-
compatible devices occurs when they are
brought within approximately 300 feet of
one another and a wireless "hand shake"
is initiated by one or both devices.
Continue..
• The underlying layers of DASH7
technology follow the globally
implemented ISO 18000-7 standard.
