DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION
RATIONALE
In its effort to make education more relevant to the needs of local
communities, the Department of Education (DepEd) has instituted a local
planning process on the division level to produce what is called the
Division Education Development Plan (DEDP) and the School
Improvement Plan (SIP) on the school level.
The Division Education Development Plan is considered as “the
main vehicle through which the division can effectively and efficiently
manage education services in the province or city” while the SIP is a
“roadmap that lays down specific interventions that a school, with the help
of the community and other stakeholders, will undertake within a period of
three consecutive school years. It guides the school in problem-solving and
planning process and help identify and organize strategies and resources
that will lead to increased student achievement at the school.

DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION
RATIONALE
In September 29, 2015, former Deped Secretary Bro. Armin A.
Luistro signed Deped Order no. 44, s. 2015 “Guidelines on the School
Improvement Planning (SIP) Process and the School Report Card”
which provided details in the procedure in the preparation of SIP and
SRC. Section VI, paragraph 2 of the same order also states that “Schools
Division offices shall provide copies of their division plan to guide the
schools in the objectives and targets setting; provide technical assistance
such as training, coaching, mentoring, and report preparation and
conduct regular progress monitoring to address gaps and identify initial
gains during the implementation.

DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION
RATIONALE
This year, the Schools Division Office revised enhanced the
Division Education Development Plan aligning it to the Regional
Basic Education Plan. Hence, this Seminar workshop on DEDP and
SIP alignment shall be conducted for schools to align their
objectives and targets based from the enhanced DEDP of the SDO
and the current situation at the school level. In addition, this shall be
also conducted in order for schools heads to have a common
understanding in the preparation of WFP, AIP, AR and ATC based
from their approved SIP.

DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION
EXPECTED OUTPUT

1. Enhanced SIP
2. Revised WFP
3. Revised AIP
4. Adjusted PPMP
