     We would like to give thanks to our almighty GOD that guide us in
everything we do for all the blessing that he gave to me and the knowledge
and wisdom that we can use every day and we want to give thanks to the good
health that he gave me to conquer every challenge.

         We  would like to dedicate our work to our beloved parents and thank you
for believing that we can do it and for pushing us every day to strive more and

CHAPTER I
 INTRODUCTION

         Work Immersion is one of the course requirements for graduation. A

Senior High School student must undergo Work Immersion in an industry that
directly relates to the student’s postsecondary goal. Through Work Immersion,
the students are exposed to and become familiar with work-related
environment related to their field of specialization to enhance their
competence. Specifically, the students are able to gain relevant and practical
industrial skills under the guidance of industry experts and workers appreciate
the importance and application of the principles and theories taught in school
enhance their technical knowledge and skills enrich their skills in
communications and human relations; and develop good work habits,
attitudes, appreciation, and respect for work. These prepare them to meet the
needs and challenges of employment or higher education after graduation.
        Work immersion provides opportunities for students to become
familiar with their course and become popular in their work.
Through this, students will not be surprised because at least they
have knowledge about what they want to take in college. Through
work immersion, students cultivate their abilities in the things or
paths they want to take. The students also learn a lot that is new to
their minds and expand their knowledge about the courses or
activities they want. Take it is also good because it serves as your
preparation for the collage course you will take.
         Academic institutions are faced with challenges particularly
with the skills they produce which do not match the needs of the
industry. A significant number of graduates today are unable to fill
the job openings due to job-skill mismatches. A great number of
these skills found lacking by companies are taught in the academe,
that is, technical, human resource and conceptual skills. In addition
to that, these same skills can also be reinforced through on-the-job
training programs. On-the-job training (OJT) programs are course
requirements providing an opportunity to apply the theories,
principles and ideas learned in the academy under supervision.
These training programs expose the students To work realities which
will ideally hone their skills and prepare them once they get out of
senior high school.
     
   OBJECTIVES

 To develop the competencies, work ethics, and values to pursuing further
education and joining the world by exposing to different opportunities.

CHAPTER II
(MISSION AND VISSION/HISTORY OF PNP/ORGANIZATIONAL CHART)
     

MISSION 
To enforce the law, 
to prevent and control crimes, 
to maintain peace and order,  
and to ensure public safety and 
internal security with the active support  
of the community. 

VISION 
Imploring the aid of the almighty, 
by year 2030, We shall be a highly capable, 
effective, and police service working in partnership 
with a responsible community towards the attainment 
of a safer place to live, work and do business. 
  HISTORY
POLICE ORGANIZATION UNDER REPUBLIC ACT NO.6775, THE IMPLEMENTATION LAW OF SECTION 6,
ARTICLE XVI OF THE 1987 PHILIPPINE CONSTITUTION
Thus, on December 13, 1990, the President of the republic signed in to the law of republic act 6975 creating the Philippine
National Police (PNP). Incident thereto, dissolving the Philippine Constabulary whose officers and rank file were given
privilege either join the AFP or the PNP within the period as provided therein. The Act was known as “An Act
Establishing the Philippine National Police under a Reorganized Department of Interior and Local government and for
Other Purpose”, which became effective on January 1, 1gative991.
The enactment of RA 6975 establishing the PHILIPPINE NATIONAL POLICE is a historic step toward the attainment of a
better and more efficient law enforcement arm in the country. As a single national police force with civilian character and
integrated with the local government, the PNP is expected to bolster the government effort in PROMOTING PEACE
AND ORDER and ENSURE THE DELIVERY OF PUBLIC SAFETY SERVICES TO THE CITIZENRY.
The PNP, is preoccupied at that time with threshing out problems on organization that are inherit in any new institution.
However, much emphasis is focused on the need to refurbish the police image and restoring the highest state or credibility
to the police. A good number of ordinary citizens whom they are bound to protect have negative perceptions towards the
police, due to some abuse, and perceived inefficiency in rendering police assistance. This is further compounded by what
the public often describes as sluggish and sloppy the public has perceived the police to be coddling scalawags in its ranks.
Though efficient performance of the greater majority of the policemen, still the NEGATIVE public perceptions of the police
pose a problem to the attainment of the desired public acceptance and support for the organization. It is fact these isolated
cases of lapse by one policeman that often hug the headlines columns and front pages of news media to the detriment of
the overall image of the police force.
   THE PNP REFORM AND REORGANIZATION ACT OF 1998 (REPUBLIC ACT 8551)
               On February 17,1998, the Republic Act entitled “The PNP Reform and Reorganization Act of 1998” was enacted
to amend certain provisions of RA 6975. Under this Act, the PNP shall be strengthened and shall evolve into a highly
efficient and competent police force that is community an service oriented and fully accountable in the performance of its
function.
REORGANIZATION PLAN OF THE PNP
Legal basis
Section 13 of RA 8551, otherwise known as the “PNP Reform Reorganization Act of 1998” mandates that the NATIONAL
POLICE COMMISSION (NAPALCOM) shall conduct a management audit and prepare and submit to congress a
proposed reorganization plan of the PNP not later than December 31, 1998 subject to the limitation provided under this
act base on the criteria:
a.Increased police visibility through dispersal of personnel from headquarters to the field officers and by the appointment
and assignment of non-uniformed personnel to positions which are purely.
1. Administrative
2. Technical
3.Clerical or menial in nature; and
4.Other position, which are not actually and directly related to police operation.
a.Efficiency and optimized delivery of police services to the communities.
In conformity with the aforementioned statutory mandate, the Reorganization Plan of the PHILIPPINE NATIONAL
POLICE was submitted to executive and legislative branch of the Philippine on December 3, 1988, for its approval

CHAPTER III
(NARATIVE OF LEARNING INSIGHT/LEARNING INSIGHT)
    
DAY 1, ACTIVITIES   
 

On our first day PCPL LIWAYWAY DURWIN, Assistant WCPD

PNCO taught us about RA 11648, 11596, 9662.
     
     
REFLECTION

         We learn more about laws and articles, such as RA 11648, or an act
providing for stronger protection against rape and sexual exploitation and
abuse Ra 9262, or "AN ACT DEFINING VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN
AND THEIR CHILDREN, PROVIDING FOR PROTECTIVE MEASURES
FOR VICTIMS, PRESCRIBING PENALTIES THEREFORE, AND FOR
OTHER PURPOSES." RA 7610 is the final one. Or the "anti-child abuse law,"
Ma'am Liwayway said to us, "If someone knows or knows something like this,
we can tell to them." They told us this so we might learn about the legislation,
which is the most usual scenario.
     
DAY 2, ACTIVITIES 

On our second day, we studied the four cardinal rules and how to apply them
and they demonstrate assembly and dis assembly of  different types of guns
  
     
     
REFLECTION

           We learned about all the 4 cardinal and on how to execute and
used them. It is important to understand these rules from their
intrinsic meaning so that we are more aware, we are safer and we
are more responsible. The second activity that we had is assemble
and disassemble of gun, We learned on how to assemble and
disassemble a gun that will give us advantage if we encounter this
types of activities again
     
DAY 3, ACTIVITIES

On our day three we introduce our self and we watched about

the training of PNP 
     
     
REFLECTION

        Our confidence eroded when we demonstrated our abilities. They

said on us that a policeman should not be shy and always have
confidence on himself. And after watching we saw how difficult the
training but you had to suffer it because the pain and tiredness
would pay off when you achieved your dream.
  
     
DAY 4, ACTIVITIES

On our fourth day we do organize a file and greet and answer some
clients' questions
     
     
REFLECTION

       We were made to paste the numbers of file cases. We

learned that cases should resolve even if it takes a long time
process. I learned this day to be thoughtful and considerate
for assisting such client in our workplace. I am happy for
what I have done. It makes me enhanced my self- esteem as
well as confidence in a way of getting socialized with other
people that is older than me.
     
DAY5, ACTIVITIES

     
         On our fifth day, Ma'am Shiela Marie A. Trinidad
(Police Corporal Finance PCPO) taught us about first aid and
CPR. Ma'am Mariano also taught us where and when the pnp
began. Ma'am Mariano also gave us a short drug lecture
     
     
REFLECTION

        We learned the purpose of first aid and to minimize

injury and future disability. In serious cases, first aid may be
necessary to keep the victim alive.I learn something which is
don't be quick to trust someone you don't know yet, because
you may get involved and it will destroy your dream.
     
DAY 6, ACTIVITIES

        On our sixth day; every Monday, we have a fellowship

and hear a valuable lesson from Pastor Jose about the value
of servants. By the consent of pcpt Ma'am Florianne
E. Enriquez, the immersion students of DMMNHS, and sir
ERNESTO T.PIDO (Police executive Master sergeant Senior
Logistic PNCO), proceed to PNP Checkpoint
     
     
REFLECTION

        First and foremost, public employees must be committed

to serve others before self-interest. We also learned that we
must be obedient since we cannot be servants if we cannot
obey. And, like the cops, they obey legal rule

       We observe the officers are termining those motorists of

their safety and security by using helmet and having a
license in driving and despite the hot weather, the police are
still on duty.
     
DAY 7, ACTIVITIES

        On our seventh day we go again on checkpoint and we

raised barricades and placed them on the side of the road.
     
         Sir Ronald  S. Battad(Police Executive Master Sergeant)
had a brief discussion about the Philippine National Police
Academy (PNPA)
     
     
REFLECTION

           We learned that no matter how hot the weather, we

should still do our jobs.He encouraged us to join the pnpa,
and he also told us what we should do, as well as something
about his experience with the pnpa trainings
     
DAY 8, ACTIVITIES

       On our eight day with the new immersionist  ma’am 

Liway lectured us again about republic act. cases and
watched bisoc training.
     
     
REFLECTION

        We learned there is how to respect others and how we

can apply or avoid ourselves from activities that harm
people. And after watching we learned that you have to go
through hardships before you can achieve success.
     
DAY 9, ACTIVITIES

         On our ninth day we have a short discussion with ma’am

Florianne  E. Enriquez.
     
     
REFLECTION

        We learned how hard being a police officer and

what are we willing to do to get our dreams and to be
an police man.
     
DAY 10, ACTIVITIES

On our tenth day we perform firing at Sir Pido farm and

             

we do formation on afternoon.  
     
     
REFLECTION

     We learned how to properly hold a gun. This activity

helped us a lot because we already have a little knowledge
about how to handle a gun.

        We have learned the fundamental of different of different

command in formation.
     
DAY 11, ACTIVITIES

       On our last day we have a Monday mass/swim and our

last formation of immersionist in PNP. 
     
     
REFLECTION

         It helps us to enhance our spiritual soul and learned to

the word of God.

       In counting we experience hardship because we were

exposed to the sun to test our discipline and how far we can
endure.
         LEARNING INSIGHTS

After 11 days of staying at Philippine National Police (PNP), Gattaran, Cagayan the
following are learned in the agencies.

   1.Students must familiarize the PNP personnel

2.Students must ask permission to the officer in charge and the team leader (TL) before
they leave
3.Always greet when you see the PNP personnel
4.Students must obey all the orders of the officer in charge to them
5.Students must come at the agencies at the right time unless they will go to be punished by
being late
     

CHAPTER IV
(SUMMARY, CONCLUTION AND RECOMMENDATION)
     
SUMMARY

         The trainees of senior high school students of DON MARIANO

MARCOS NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL at Guising, Gattaran, Cagayan taking
up Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics “STEM” taking up a
work immersion 10 days with a 80 hours at Gattaran Police Station, Centro
Sur. Work immersion trainees apply the knowledge they have learned in
school. Also in the immersion sites they will go to, they will learn and know a
lot more.

                 Even for a short time period, trained in work immersion. It helped the
students to expand their knowledge and also to know what is the life of
someone who has a noble job, be prepared for the path they will take and face
their future
     
CONCLUSION

          Being one of the work immersionists at PNP Gattaran was gave

me the opportunity to see and witness my weakness and
improvements of myself. In 88 hours in the PNP Gattaran I’ve been
able to develop my weaknesses and improve the knowledge and
skill that I have learned in school.  I’ve developed and improved my
socializing skills and developed myself steam in dealing with other
people and the people around me and working with them. In the
future is experience will help me to carry out the attributes of a
professional.
     
RECOMMENDATIONS

           The immersionist respectfully recommended the following to the next

batch of the immersionist since they are useful in completion of task.
• Students should show their interest and pride with the task assign to him\her. 
• Students should have their orientation first before going to the actual work
place.
• Students must be motivated to attend in their work place for improving their
skills and knowledge.
• The training officer must continue their teaching so that the students learn
well.
• The department must be continued their good service\behavior to the
immersionist.
