Lots of thoughts recently. Everything feels plastic.

I could go on and on about why all that AI "art" is bad. I could mention theft, lack of creativity, it's impact on the work field and environment, but countless people have already said all that. I wanted to touch on something that to me is the most utterly wrong about all of it.

Art is more than just something pretty to look at or listen to. It's therapeutic. It's a form of communication. A tool for human connection. It's a pure, human need.

Support real artists ☀️

Being trans is not special or fun.

You need dysphoria to be trans.

Being cisgender is great.

Being trans is not your aesthetic.

Truscum/transmeds are the only ones who really care about trans people.

I used to fully believe all of the claims in the first meme. I thought that being trans was some kind of title that you earn by being the most tortured and that you had to fit every single criteria of it and look a really specific way in order to be trans.

I’m so glad I grew out of that.

For anyone who still feels this way, I know it’s hard to be trans, but other people finding joy and exploration in something that might be uncomfortable for you doesn’t mean they’re wrong and it doesn’t negate your experience. It will be okay. Your life won’t be a tragedy forever. But right now you’re just tearing down your own kind and that isn’t helping anyone except those who want to oppress us.

It’s not too late to turn your thinking around and accept those who look and behave and believe differently from you.

And life will get so much better when you do
