Pairing: Yang Jungwon x gn!Reader
Genre: fluff; friends to lovers au
Word Count: .9k
Warnings: none
Jungwon watches as a raindrop splatters onto the living room window from his spot on the burgundy couch, a blanket haphazardly thrown over his legs. The voices of the characters of the random movie you had chosen on Netflix drone on in the background as he follows the path of the raindrop. It flows down before splitting apart into smaller drops, eventually coming together again, but not wholly. His observation of the raindrop is interrupted as you walk back into the room, a bowl of buttery popcorn in your hands.

in the writing,
find all of my written works here. writing is an escape just as much as reading is. remember behind every work is a story and idea.
psa i will not write any nonconsensual acts or anything that shouldn’t be taken lightly as some kind of plot boost. if i were to write something like that it would not be under these circumstances or under this blog. serious issues or traumatic experiences should not be romanticized, instead read actual experiences from victims and let them be heard. support the people done wrong.

You pushed through the crowd of people at the end of the hallway, dispersing not only them but the thick cloud of smoke they were enveloped in. You wondered how it was that they seemed to be talking and breathing just fine, because whatever herb that cloud consisted of burned when it entered your nose, throat and lungs. But you supposed it perhaps was for the best. You couldn’t imagine how annoyed you’d be if some random person just burst through while you were talking with your friends. Their stupid teenage decisions had done you a favour.
You pulled your sea-green silk scarf from around your neck and held it to your nose. You didn’t know how many more of those clouds your lungs could take.
You squinted through the dim lights and navigated your way further into the house. People you thought would be from your high school, but some of which looked like they were in college, were packed in every direction. The living room perhaps held most of them; they danced along to the music with red cups in their hands as if in trance, giggling and smiling in what looked like euphoria.
As you climbed the stairs to the next floor, you encountered more couples than you’d seen in a lifetime. You looked away, cheeks burning, when you realized what they must be getting up to. You kept your head down, eyes on your feet. They ached if you were honest. Then again, you didn’t know that the party you were invited to by your friends at your new school would be this kind of party, the kind your mother would warn you of, or that you’d be wandering through the place looking for them on five-inch heels.
