The term "survival horror game" is interesting to me because of the implications of breaking it down. The term "survival horror" outside of a gaming context sounds strange, but I guess a "survival horror movie" or a "survival horror novel" could still exist. However, the implication of a "non-survival horror game" also interests me. A horror game where surviving is not the goal. Finally, there's the notion of a "survival game" detached from a horror context. Is Super Mario Bros a survival game? Is Soup Calibur IV a survival game? Is Metal Gear Solid a survival game? Of course, there are games where you cannot truly survive, like Tetris, but the term seems so open ended that it makes me wonder how "survival horror game" became the term to begin with and not just "horror game". Do you have any thoughts?

Fucking wild to be teaching about Rosa Parks at the same time as a trans woman in Florida does an act of civil disobedience to use a women's restroom in the state capitol

As far as I know, she is the first woman arrested bc of this law. The law requires that the trans person be warned to leave the bathroom by a state official, and then if they stay they are guilty of trespassing after a warning.

So like, me, my gf, others just piss and nobody asks or tells, but this young woman sent a statement about the law to over 100 FL lawmakers so they would know she was coming, the cops were ready for her, she brought a reporter and went in anyway and spent the night in a men's jail. She is out on bail, and is hoping this will inspire change of the law. But if found guilty, and the law is upheld as constitutional, then she could spend up to 60 days in a mens county jail.

smile 2 is okay if you like run of the mill horror movies that are kind of whatever in a charming way. which i do! 6/10 i liked the ending :)

watched the people's joker! as an art piece it's like an 9/10, very visually engaging. as a movie... i keep waffling between 'it's like a 6' and 'it's like a 9'. the issue, i think, is that i really don't like narrated movies, and i thought the ending was squarely fine. but i liked everything else about the movie so much, my inclination is to just ignore those issues. very difficult. it's like a letterboxd 3.5/5 but i also put the little heart next to it.

my back has gone from making me cry when i wake up the morning, to just feeling a bit tight 😁 we are #healing

damn yall weren’t lying, the fall really can top 100 favorite movies.
