And he is still ugly as fuck
He should get a bob with the bang
And a bbl
and a fox eye lift from the scalp
OKAYYYY
god I could be so wealthy if I had no ethics. that's so fucking frustrating. I'm living paycheck to paycheck because I'm not grifting vulnerable idiots on TikTok. I feel like I have the ability to very easily scam people. I could make a killing with AI. but god. I have morals and ethics and so I get to be poor as shit. I hate this fucking world
I could have made a killing as a psychic, but noooo I have to feel bad about lying to people ugh
I think abt this all the time because the thing is, evil rich people truly believe that they’re geniuses who have discovered a way to make money that the rest of us dummies haven’t…but the truth is that they are just willing to do evil shit that everyone else would prefer to not to because we have standards
obsessed with how fixable society is, on a structural level.
obsessed with how all you need to do is throw money at public education and eliminate most standardized testing and you will start getting smarter, more engaged, kinder adults. obsessed with how giving people safe housing, reliable access to good food, and decent wages dramatically reduces drug overdoses and gun violence. obsessed with how much people actually want to get together and fix infrastructure, invent new ways of helping each other, and create global ways of living sustainably once you give them livable pay to do so. obsessed with how tracking diseases, developing medicines, and improving public health becomes so much easier when you just make healthcare free at point of use.
obsessed with how easy it all becomes, if we can just figure out how to wrench the wealth out of the hands of the hoarders.
i've lived in four different cities in my adult life and talked to literally tens of thousands of people about politics and the change they want to see in the world and the overwhelming majority of them wanted life to be better, happier, easier for everyone, and dreamed of that world. the only people who didn't think that way were A) really obviously in need of mental/medical care, or B) rich.
wanting universal free healthcare, well-funded public education, and social support for all people is the most unbelievably normie opinion that exists, even among people who have lots of bad or misguided opinions about other things. when you feel alone, know that the reason you feel that way is billions of dollars are being spent to obscure the fact that you are in the majority.
american leftists seem extremely focused on anti imperialism (good) but rarely- if at all- discuss decolonization in their own fucking country, despite acknowledging that it is a settler colonial state.
im serious about this though. as an urban indian, i definitely cant speak on this as much as a rez indian could. but i know from talking to rez friends i have and from what the american indian movement has screamed for over the years that we need land we can grow on, we need clean water, we need to allow the wildlife that once lived in this land to live here again (meaning you need to listen to us before building those high speed rails you all get so hard over).
you cant drool over the zapatistas while ignoring people in your own country who have a similar goal
silly me I never provided things to read on the topic of decolonization! I'd personally suggest the following as "beginner level" essential reading to understand decolonization:
Discourse on Colonialism (Aimé Césaire) - this is more a focus on colonization, but I feel it's a necessary read in my opinion as in order to understand decolonization I believe it's important to first understand colonization.
Wretched of the Earth (Franz Fanon)
Decolonization is Not a Metaphor (Tuck, Yang)
also an "easy to process" read, to understand landback specifically here in Turtle Island, I'd suggest reading The Red Deal (there is a pdf, I don't mean the article with the same title)
shaking women by their shoulders with all my strength, screaming YOU DONT NEED TO GET PERMISSION TO BREAK UP WITH SOMEONE!!!!
you can choose to break up with someone for any reason. and it’s your choice. you’re allowed. you don’t need to ask for permission. you don’t even need to do it in person. you won’t get in trouble. in fact, most of the time you’ll be in trouble for fucking staying.
they don’t even have to suck! you can just be tired! or bored! or want to be single! you don’t have to stay with a person you don’t want to be with because they “are such a good person and haven’t done anything wrong”!
WHY DO I KEEP TALKING TO WOMEN WHO ARE STUCK IN RELATIONSHIPS THEY DONT WANT TO BE IN
with no-fault divorces currently on the fucking chopping block, we really need to start telling young women that they have autonomy when it comes to their romantic relationships.
no, you don’t have to date that guy just cuz he wants to date you.
no, you don’t have to stay with her because she doesn’t want to break up.
no, you don’t have to keep dating them even though they haven’t cheated/abused you/whatever horrible thing is your only reference for ending a relationship.
this is basic info, but you’d be surprised at how many women don’t understand this, or feel like it’s not true.
and before ANYONE says that this goes for everyone, not just women, yes of course it does. anyone of any gender can suffer from this.
but let’s not deny that women are taught this shit from a young age. be virtuous, forgiving, kind, soft, turn the other cheek, it’s just cuz he’s a man and you’re a girl and you don’t understand. stay with him or you’re a bitch.
is it really surprising the most antisemitic are also the most ignorant about jews and our way of life
"Jews existing at all is offensive to Palestinians" is what this amounts to.
I would say "imagine telling on yourself so blatantly", except that this happens with clocklike regularity.
We have anti-Jewish groups saying that Jews can't have kosher food without "offending Palestinians."
We have anti-Jewish groups saying that Jews can't be visibly Jewish without "offending Palestinians."
There are two parts to this message, and I hate both of them.
Part one is "Jews existing at all is offensive", and they're hiding their Jew-hate behind Palestinians.
And part two...
By inference, apparently a foundational part of Palestinian identity is predicated on being intensely offended by the mere existence of Jews.
Throwback to the head of the SJP chapter at my undergraduate college writing an editorial in the school newspaper that included the sentence "I don't hate Jews, but when I see them practicing their religion it makes me angry"
Gaza is starving. Aid has been cut off. My beloved friend is terrified of dying of hunger on the one hand or an airstrike on another. The internet is full to saturated of fundraisers for Gaza. I don't know how to help her.
Because it can't hurt: https://www.gofundme.com/f/help-maram-escape-gaza
As always, the reminder that even though it looks like we've raised a ton of money over the course of the year, it's almost been spent. All of it is spent almost as soon as she receives it on necessities, especially food and water, for herself and her family.
According to Maram, due to aid being cut off, the cost of a bag of flour is $40, a kilo of cooking gas is $35, and the cost of vegetables she'd buy together is $20.
Also, because Maram would like to be known as a full human being with passions outside of wartime struggles, I'll describe her a bit:
She loves anime and vampire stories. And comics, especially Batman and the extended Bat family. Her favorite Robins are Dick and Damian (like me!). She writes and hopes to be published. She's a romantic. She loves the idea of travelling but hasn't been able to. Her dream is go to study in America (she's already been accepted to Wooster College but can't get out of Gaza) and someday to attend a Renaissance Faire there. Her favorite flavor of cake is chocolate. She loves 90's makeup styles - Aaliyah (the singer) is her makeup inspiration. And yes, she's gorgeous. She takes religion and God seriously and open-mindedly.
Her heart is huge and warm and generous. She dreams of the day where she will be helping others because she's tired of asking for help. She checks in on me constantly as she worries for her friends living much easier lives than she leads. When I tell her I'm on vacation, she doesn't tell me the difficulties she's facing because she doesn't want me to worry. She takes care of others and struggles to take care of herself. She is a lover of humanity.
When the world gives her every reason to hate, she finds people to love. And I love her back.
Video captions: And stop trying to show your ex what they missed out on! Stop trying to teach your family a lesson for not believing in you! Stop trying to shit on your haters! Do it for you! Do it because you deserve it! Do it for YOU! Water your dreams with love! Don’t put no hate and resentment, and try to — “oh Imma fucking show them, Imma show” — FUCK THEM! Fuck them, do it for you! They don’t matter! They NEVER mattered.
