A/N: Guys, I am so excited to finally share with you the first chapter of my first ever story! I would like to say in advance that i plan to make this a long story, therefore the drama between the reader and sunghoon won't be immediate. Hope you enjoy this chapter and I will be posting the next one soon!

It was Saturday morning and the sun rays glimmered through the open window in your bedroom. Although it was the end of summer, the weather was still warm. Being awoken by the morning light, you took a long yawn and eventually got up. You picked up your phone and caught a glimpse at the time – it was 9:00 and you had exactly 2 hours before you had to head to the airport. Fortunately you had packed your stuff the day before so this was off your to-do list. Now you only needed to get ready and eat something so you didn’t starve during the day. After finishing with these mundane tasks, it was finally time for the excitement to come through. Tomorrow would be your first day at Enchanted University. You had dreamt of this moment for so long and now it was finally around the corner. You had worked so hard to get into this prestigious university and everyone knew that – your family, your friends and even your teachers. You felt a sense of pride now that your work had paid off. Moving on…You were finally dressed up and headed out the door.

You were at the airport now and your family and friends were all here to see you off. After saying goodbye to everyone and promising to call them everyday, it was time to get on the plane. You found your place there and got ready for a long flight. Putting your favourite song on and snuggling in a cosy blanket you dosed off, awaiting the start of a new chapter in your life…

Standing in front of the campus, you suddenly felt small. The building was enormous and almost resembled an old castle. The courtyard was filled with students and you felt lost in such a big crowd. With no other option then to continue walking, you headed straight towards the big building. After a while, you managed to reach the entrance to the main hall of the university. After getting your documents checked at the reception, you now had to head to your newly assigned dorm. You had already been informed that you would share a triple-bed apartment with someone else, therefore you were feeling nervous to see who you would be living with for the rest of the semester. After walking for what seemed like a really long period of time, you finally arrived in front of the apartment’s front door. Even by the look of the exterior, the place seemed quite fancy. The excitement and nervousness took over your whole body as you proceeded to enter inside.

When you opened the door, you immediately spotted someone. There was a tall pretty girl, dressed in sportswear. She was surrounded by various athletic equipment and she was stretching in front of a big TV. She didn’t notice you for a while, but the moment she caught a glimpse of you entering the dorm, she suddenly got startled and fell over.

“I’m so sorry for scaring you.” – you said nervously.

“Don’t worry. It was my fault for getting distracted” – the girl reassured you and got up. “I am Kazuha, nice to meet you!” – she smiled brightly and shook your hand.

“I am Y/N. Nice to meet you too. Sorry for disturbing your workout.” – you replied and smiled back.

“It’s alright. I was just doing a post-workout stretch as I just got back from my ballet lessons.” – she mentioned.

 “Oh so you do ballet? That’s so cool!” – you were genuinely surprised from this fact.

“Oh thanks, I am doing an art degree in dancing here. And by the way, you can just call me Zuha. We will be living together for a while and I can’t wait to get to know my roommates!” – she said excitedly. She seemed really cheerful and she always had a bright smile on her face.

“Honestly same! And to be honest I am really relieved after I met you. I still haven’t seen our other roommate though. Have you seen them yet?” – you asked Kazuha.

“I haven’t met them yet, but as far as I know they are a fashion major. It will probably be fun to live with such a cool person! Actually, now that I have mentioned that, I forgot to ask what are you majoring in?”

“Well I am studying marine biology here.” – you replied

“That sounds exciting too! I think it will be a great year for the three of us!” – Kazuha was really positive. She reminded you of a sunshine.

“I am glad to meet you, but I have to unpack my luggage now. I will let you finish your stretch and we can talk some more after, if u want.” – you suggested.

“Of course! I will be waiting.” – she said and then got back to doing her exercises.

It seemed that your roommates weren’t as scary as you thought they would be. Well, at least one of them wasn’t. You still haven’t met the other person. Hopefully, you will get along with them too and your first day will go smoothly…

All seven of you were gathered at the cafe’s counter. While the rest of you were beaming, Thena appeared as though she would rather die than be there. Thena asks, fumbling with her cherished wallet, “Why am I paying again?”

You smile at her, fully aware that you wouldn’t be the one going broke: “Because you suggested coming here in the first place.” What a wonderful day to be alive, you thought.

After taking note of everyone’s order the cashier says, “That would be 44,199.19 won,” all of you turn to face Thena as she sighs, pulling money out of her wallet before bringing the bills up to her face and saying, “So long, dear friends,” before finally handing over the cash. You dramatically pat your friend on the back, to somehow console her.

As you all move toward a free table, Ryujin says encouragingly to Thena, “You’ll get your money back. Just use the manifestation technique I found on youtube. "Wait, those work?” you ask.

As if stating the obvious, she nods and replies, “Well yeah, how the fuck do you think I got those GOT7 tickets in the first place?” You make a mental note to look for those videos later, and maybe you might have better luck at getting BTS concert tickets.

“So… how was the gym, Jihan?” Yeeun teasingly asked. While the others groused in annoyance, you and Nayoung laughed. Just when Jihan was about to say something, Yujin beat her to it. “Let’s not talk about sweaty boys exercising, please,”

Nayoung agreed, saying, “Yeah, screw men.”

“Weren’t you the girl that was fangirling over Timothee Chalamet when we were watching Little Women last night,” you light-heartedly questioned.

“I hate you,”

You shrug “Just saying the truth,”

In the middle of your conversation, your drinks arrived. You all bow, saying thank you to the waitress as she leaves.

Just as you took a sip, someone started blowing up your notifications. Your eyes widen as you take your phone out of your pocket and see the texts that your manager has sent. You suddenly panic, “Shit, I forgot we had practice!” and just like that, the peaceful cafe ambiance vanished as the other girls hurriedly jumped up.

“Damn, even I forgot,” Yujin says while putting her seat back into place.

With coffee in your hands, all of you rush out the cafe doors. You weren’t paying attention to your surroundings, and that led you to bump into someone. The coffee in your hand eventually crushed in between you and the man.

You look up, apologizing profusely then you freeze. Your eyes widen once you realize who you just spilled coffee all over. Jay of Enhypen.

I am so dead

Both of your clothes were now stained with coffee. Once you collect yourself, you start to apologize to him again, your head drooping in shame.

“No it’s alright, really” he reassures with a small laugh. He didn’t act like someone who just got drenched in coffee.

Despite his insistence that everything was fine, you begin to search your purse for a handkerchief to give him. You say one final sorry before you’re being pulled by your members.

“Unnie, our manager is mad,” Jihan yells.

“We are so sorry, Jay sunbaenim,” Yujin apologizes to him while she ran with the rest of the group.

Ryujin made sure to say, “Our lovely Y/n will make sure to pay you back soon, byeee,” before dragging your flushed figure further.

The seven of you left a drenched Jay and a laughing Sunghoon back in the cafe.

“y/n.” your friend giggles, a bony, outstretched finger pushing up the middle bridge of his glasses. you watch his bouncy, chocolate curls fall over his golden, round frames. “i’m just going to the bathroom.” a small, half smile travels up his chapstick slathered lips, his unbuttoned hawaiian-printed shirt catching the soft brushes of the air conditioning. he quirks a thick eyebrow at you, hidden by his curvy fringe. “i’ll be quick. heeseung seems to have no problem with watching over you.”

you groan as you throw your friend a glare, watching as he pokes his tongue out at you in reply. your eyes follow his figure throughout the crowded room, slipping the straw of your chocolate milkshake between your lips. you’ve propped yourself onto the countertop against the large window, your legs dangling back and forth just above the suede, carpeted floor. you’re watching your friends as they surround the pool table just a few feet in front of you, letting out loud hoots and hollers and harsh slaps to each other’s backs.

the harsh, orange tinted lights above you sears your skin in the most aggravating fashion, a soft sigh slipping from your lips as you push your hair back away from your forehead. you always hate coming to these things, but as a part of the cheer squad and your best friend being on the football team, it’s almost mandatory for you and your reputation.

you keep your half lidded eyes focused on the blond haired boy positioning his pool stick rather meticulously across the green felt, when you can already feel those all-too familiar eyes on you under the iridescent lights.
