I'm planning on evolving my eevee into an espeon for type coverage reasons, which means I need to take her to a move forgetter so she doesn't evolve into a sylveon due to the Alluring Voice that she knew when I got her from a breeder. That's her favorite move to use when we do battles (her other three registered moves are hyper voice, calm mind, and covet) so my brother says it would be so cruel to her that she won't evolve if I do that. I'd teach her the move again right away after she evolves, I just want her to have a chance to be an espeon because you can't get sun dust very easily outside of Orre and I'm absolutely not going to Orre. Do you think it would really make her that unhappy that she wouldn't evolve?

I was gonna delete this blog but I'm keeping it a bit more just to answer this question :3 Your brother seems to be assuming she really wants to be a Sylveon, you gotta figure that out with your Eevee and no one else, have her hang out with other Eeveelutions at the park, or maybe take her to one of those fancy Eevee breeding shows, see if she seems to vibe with any evolution in particular. You gotta pay attention to these signs (under cut cus I got a bit excited lol):

introducing a sprigatito into our household day 1: mostly ok 👍

robertinho himself is a bit nervous to eat with the other pokemon but he remains rambunctious, lazy and troublesome as ever. slept with us in bed :3

the other pokemon however... well

my wife's porygon: finds him annoying but is ignoring him

my other wife's sylveons: super curious but also don't want him invading their spaces, will attack if their things are touched so robertinho hasn't been allowed on their room

farelos the sylveon: trying to befriend him but is actually dedicating most of her time trying to calm down my other pokemon and the one who caused most issues with robertinho so far:

minduim the torracat: terrified of him, anytime she sees him she readies an attack and goes on defense mode, sounding out hisses and fearful cries, robertinho has been growling at her back and occupying all her spaces in return, also she's eating all his food </3

thankfully no fights, and robertinho has been very chill otherwise but minduim is so so scared of him and, i don't know what to do 😭 im trying to use positive reinforcement but somehow she still thinks that robertinho, who is really just a little guy, and also who she has a type and level advantage against, is a threat to her

it's only been one day tho like maybeee things will get better with time? wish us luck!

hii happy holidays hope everyone is enjoying their end of the year celebration

here at home we are gonna have a big storm coming

robertinho

that's my faerie type wife's sprigatito he lives with her parents, and her parents need someone else to care for him during the holidays

he is known to be a troublemaker though and i don't know how our other pokemon will react to him, wish us luck!

I have successfully made it to the Pokémon Center. I will consider that to be a minor victory.

...Though I am... unsure as to why no less than three separate people have asked me if I am a specialist in Dark-type Pokémon. I do not believe I have even seen a Dark-type Pokémon yet. How would I specialize in a Pokémon I have never seen?

oh, it's kind of a thing that a lot of specialists gravitate towards fashion that matches their favorite type? like. not to poke at stereotypes but there's a joke out there about sleepy transfem fairy type specialists who all look like this

Hm. Does this fashion appear indicative of a Dark-type specialist, then?

[A picture is attached of an almost deathly pale woman, with silver hair tied back in a ponytail, who is wearing almost entirely dark clothing. Her hat has a white feather sticking up out of it, and there is a white cravat fastened around her neck, but apart from that everything—including the long coat, the cape over one shoulder, and the trousers—appears to be varying shades of black. She is unsmiling, standing in what appears to be a Pokémon Center, with a very cheerful Chikorita sitting on her boots.]

Thank you to the nurse here for taking a better picture than I likely could have myself.

ARCEUS FUCK-- wow you've got drip. Wow. Is it okay if I save that picture to my phone?

that said. yeah. yeah you kind of look like you're ready to pull a hydreigon out of your coat and utterly demolish someone. which i would be okay with. i would say dark or dragon type specialist just from looking at you. but you don't need to change, i think your outfit is great you don't have to take it off

Rodney help, I've fallen victim to a type specialty in my team. We don't even battle or anything but all my pokemon are rock types. How did this even happen

pokemon trainers seldom consciously choose what type of pokémon they end up collecting hoards of. sometimes you live on the beach and just so happen to become a water trainer. sometimes you wake up in a pile of rocks and all of them have eyes and love you

Listen. I joke about disability being the one minority I can make you a part of if I aim for your kneecaps and swing my cane hard enough, but genuinely I feel like a shit ton of you people are disabled and just straight up don't know it.

And that's kind of sad? Like. Due to lacking education/shitty media portrayals you just don't... know. Why the symptoms are happening. Or that these aren't normal. I've introduced people to complex ptsd, harm- and contamination- subtypes of OCD, and the actual definition of chronic pain, and i realize i may just be like. An anxious mess with a lot of disorders who is out of touch with what abled people know. but also how the fuck are you people living like this?????

anyways disability isn't contagious. come closer let me question you about your abnormally low pain tolerance and the childhood trauma you didn't think was traumatic but has left you with long lasting developmental delays that i'm going to point you towards a therapist for.
