i think we'd do a lot better in collectively understanding privilege if we stopped thinking about it as some evil aura people have and start thinking about it as a resource that those of a privileged class or those who are accepted by that privileged class can gain access to by performing acts that reinforce the strength of that privilege i.e. bigotry

an appalling number of marginalized people in this upcoming generation appear to be under the impression that saying they're "reclaiming" a slur gives them a free pass to use that slur in a derogatory way towards other marginalized people in their communities that they dislike or think are annoying. maybe it's just the people i've had the misfortune of encountering in the wild, but it's getting bleak out there, folks.
like the other day i encountered some cunt using the fucking R slur to refer to an autistic person stimming in a way they found annoying, and when confronted about their ableism, they replied, "oh, i have ADHD, i can reclaim it." and it's like, no, you jackass, you absolutely the fuck cannot! that is not what that means! if the way you use a word is indistinguishable from the way a fucking nazi would use that word, then you're not "reclaiming it" anymore, you dumb bastard!!! you're just using it the same way the damn nazi does!!! shut the fuck up and be kinder you ass!!!

went back to check the source for this since I am a uuh digital infrastructure researcher ig. The forbes article is a quora repost, source, which is pretty wildly speculative but brings out some good points about manufacturing infrastructure.
The gist is basically that the usa would not be able to produce iphones because there is not enough skilled workers in electronics manufacturing, nor is the physical infrastructure in place. foxconn, and chinese electronics manufacturing in general, have spent some decades building up its industry, which is not something that can be just be kicked off from scratch on another continent.
while smartphones would definately be more expensive to manufacture in the west due to poverty wages of foxconn, most of that 30-100k range comes from building up the training and physical infrastructures required.
that is not to say that the relationship between the west and east asian electronics manufacturing isn't exploitative (low wages being one factor here). but that there is more to global imperialist capitalism than low-wage outsourcing (such as creating national economies centred around luxury exports). and this is not to mention the aspect of the natural resources required for electronics manufacturing that simply do not exist in the west.
tl;dr - point about imperialist exploitation still stands, but numbers are an estimated exaggeration. nuance etc.

I teach martial arts. we play games with the little kids. they swordfight with noodles and throw foam balls at each other. in the summer, we take them out into the parking lot with water guns. in the winter, we have snowball fights.
the teenagers get swords and staffs and practice knives. we teach them moves from marvel movies that they ask about. they get squirt guns and snowball fights too. we let them goof off and climb the support beams and charge directly at each other in padded suits.
sometimes parents say they miss doing things like that. I tell them, "stay for an adult class. just try it out." we build obstacle courses and let them mess around with training rifles. they chat while sparring. we scream and cheer for them when they're in the middle of a circle. and then we send them out to the parking lot with squirt guns and snowballs.
it's exercise. it's healthy. it's an important life skill. and it's fun as fuck.

well basically i don’t see minority status & political value to be like pokemon types. people can, in fact, be trans & transphobic — and the transandrobro movement shares more of its politics within trans woman exclusionary radical feminists than trans activists; they both believe that trans women have privilege over them because of our gender assignment, they both argue that people assigned female at birth have more claim to experiences of misogyny than trans women etc.
in short: the terf movement is primarily focused on victimising trans women specifically. there are plenty of terfs who are nasty to trans guys too, but there are plenty you can find in only a couple clicks on this website that totally accept transmascs but double down on their transmisogynistic ideology. which makes sense — terfs see the gender binary as absolute, which means they see trans men as potential allies oppressed by the same systems as themselves:
add this to the fact that the majority of major “transandrophobia” bloggers on this website literally are terfs, follow terfs, or are close to terfs and you’ll realise that the transandrobro movement is just terfism repackaged for trans guys instead of cis women.
