Author's Note: Hello again, lovelies! I apparently am really bad at following schedules if you didn't notice, so I apologize (again) for really long periods between updates on this story. Rest assured that the next chapter will be the long awaited mating between our two soulmates, which will be the final installment to this saga that I have now been writing for five years.

Crazy how fast time flies.

Anyway, I felt like it had been too long since the last update to just...have them go at it in this one. I had had plans to make this shorter, but somehow 20 pages were written between this week and last and...yeah. Here we are.

Tbh I think the thing about Soap that makes people so uncomfortable is how clearly he sees everyone—what they want, what they think, and why they decide to present themselves to others in the way they do. I think he sees through deception very easily, he sees through even the very benign, polite masks that people wear, and he’s too audacious not to use that to fuck with people—either for his own entertainment or to get what he wants. And it really does disturb people because he doesn’t look that observant in the slightest, so they think they’re safe around him.

Until he fixes them with that bright blue stare, and gives that cocky grin, and they suddenly feel like they’re not at the top of the food chain.

This one makes me think of Idol!Jungkook x novelist!Reader where he has to keep his relationship with you a secret, but when your relationship is announced to the world when a picture of you both holding hands is leaked, you're harassed by all kinds of people and so it gradually hurts you and seeing this, he breaks things off so that you aren't targeted anymore.

You hadn't wanted to end it and neither did he, but he wanted to do what was best for you and thought that if he left you, you'd be safer and feel better.

You miss each other terribly and after he puts an end to things, you end up writing a book about him with all your memories and adventures. You publish it and dedicate it to him using the nickname you gave him. It becomes a best seller and no one knows it is him that the book was written about, but when Namjoon tells Jungkook about this amazing novel he read, he gives it to Jungkook and when he sees the first page in the book that lists who the book was dedicated to, his heart hammers in his chest when he realizes it is you who wrote the book under a fake name so that people wouldn't be biased against reading it because of the "scandal" with him.

At the end of the book, there's a letter written to the main character of whom is given his nickname. It details the unyielding love that the love interest of the main character has for him.

By the time Jungkook has read the whole thing, tears swell along the corners of his eyes and longing pangs through his chest so powerfully that the memories of you both flash through his mind.

He peers at his phone and opens it to scroll down the list to his contacts, his finger hovering over your name and when he remembers the words he'd read in the book you wrote, it's the assurance he needs to click on your number and dial you up.

It seems like an eternity that the phone rings, but when it finally connects him to you and he hears your hesitant, surprised voice, a wide smile bursts across his face.

"It's been awhile, Y/N. How...how are you?"

and she becomes really close with jins youngest fledgling ie jungkook or maybe jimin and she might realize their secret and…subtly manipulated jk into draining her dry/going too far- because he’s been conditioned under thrall after every time jin said ‘listen to what y/n’ says, so when they’re fooling around one day and he’s drinking from her and she says ‘keep going’ he does until she has barely any blood in her and jin- devistated- has no choice but to turn here even though when she found out their secret she made jin promise not to turn her because immortality is basically her worst nightmare.

But when she wakes after being turned…she’s strong- maybe because her brain was deprived of so much blood just before he transformation. And she fights them trying to get to sunlight so that she’ll burn- forcing jin to lock her away for her own good and slowly condition her to live for him. To depend on his approval and touch like it’s the only thing that keeps her going.

And jin swore he’d never be the kind of sire that would treat their fledglings like this- like objects but he grows to secretly enjoy the attention it’s and devotion she has for him. To secretly crave the subtle turn of her mind into something so dependent and sweet and addicted to his presence. The slow change of her being terrified that he won’t come visit her cell anymore and she’ll do anything for a bit of her sires blood. And then when he finally lets her out of her chains she cries cuz she wants them back on and they’ve become a reminder that sire loves her 🥺 taking them off means he’s done with her does it? But he gives her a collar instead and tells her that one of the bedrooms upstairs is her new cell and now the coven can sleep with her every night and she can be the prettiest little baby bat and never leave their nest and everything is fixed 🥰

now jinnie just has to find a way to make his other 6 fledglings wear collars too.

thinking of this and the moment it happens, jungkook wiping her blood from his face and sobbing, apologizing to hyung, please for forgivness falling brokenly from his lips, pleas for jin to understand that he didn't want too- she /made/ him, and jin clinging to her limp body, realizing "oh, oh i loved her didn't i? i loved this little human." crying quietly oh so quietly, a wreched sort of anguish in his chest, a quiet anguish because then he hears it-
