Every major injury I’ve had was caused by clumsiness; I split my head on a bench because I tripped on my shoelaces, I’ve fractured fingers slamming them in car doors and falling down the stairs, and gotten a concussion scootering full speed straight into a metal pole because I wasn’t wearing my glasses.

I went sledding and hit a speed bump then went flying and as it turned out the snow was ice and jammed my wrist and my nose was bleeding and now I’m scared of sledding.

I once got my wrist broken in two paces by a cousin close to my growth plate and the first ER we went to told my parents that it was a fracture and I was stuck in an uncomfortable brace for like 3-4 weeks until a doctors visit said “No, that is a broken wrist you need a cast not a brace” so I got put in a brace for like 4 months so it could heal. A teacher even took my brace cause I kept messing with it cause it was crazy uncomfortable and even hurt a bit.

I have a scar on the top of my nose between my eyes that almost touches one eye. I got it jumping off a bunk bed and hitting a ceiling fan and having to get stitches as a kid. I get anxious about it but I love it regardless

I have a bad tendency of getting lost anywhere and going into stranger's cars when I'm walking down the street and they ask if I need a ride. But it's okay cuz I turned down the last one. Learning my lesson 💪

Ever since I was a child I felt insecure on how dirty my ears felt so much so that I would always clean them with a cotton bud/swab at least twice a day. It all went downhill at the age of 13 when a piece of cotton got stuck in my ear and I had to go see a doctor because my ears started to bleed and I couldn't hear anything. Sadly, I never grew out of that habit and now take medicine for my ears.

One time, i took like 5 shots of vodka and then went to the bathroom to do my business. i was wearing a skirt and leggings and i get really warm when im tipsy/drunk, so i was like "enough of this" so just as the toilet finishes flushing im trying to take off my leggings (ive pulled up everything else at this point i was decent) but tripped bc my shoes were on (it was a shoes on house) and spun and tripped, and the bridge of my nose hit the tank as it was filling back up (with clean water!) and shattered it.

My nose did not even turn red.

When I was 7 I saw a movie where some guy swung on some drapes. My friend's house had some big curtains so I tried to swing on them and I ended up tearing them off from where they were secured on the ceiling. The beam hit me on the head.

I didn't want to get into trouble so I ran outside and pretended that I was playing in the backyard the whole time. I haven't told anyone this until now.

I was at the splash pad when I was like 9 with my maybe 1 or two year old niece at the time and my sister

I was running for the sidewalk so I could wipe the water out of my eyes without more water immediately replacing it and misjudged and ran into the side of the sidewalk and had the whole toenail of my big toe on my left foot ripped off because I stubbed it so hard.

My story is pretty similar. when I was younger my sister had gotten a cake and my parents put it on a tall counter so I couldn't reach it. so I grabbed a rolling chair and stood on it and leaned over to get the cake. the chair slipped and I fell head first into a whole bunch of electronics, taking the cake with me. we went to the doctors and found out I had fractured my skull and given myself a concussion and I couldn't stay away for more then an hour or so for the next few days

I was playing on my DS and walking out of a doctor's office. this office had a sliding glass door, but also glass next to the door so was like glass door glass. hmmm. I nearly drowned when I was white water rafting (I was like 15, a day or two after my birthday) because our boat decided to surf* and I got trapped under the raft. Made it out with a scrape on my arm and a strong desire to test my limits again.

*a thing you can do when you’re white water rafting where after you go down a rapid you can paddle back into it and fill your boat with water while getting slammed around

I find it interesting how both Ellwood and Gaunt's injuries reflect what's most important to them. Ellwood's face wound and loss of an eye costs him his beauty and good looks, while Gaunt's chest wound loses him his strength and physical fitness.

but also that these traits are not important to the other person. Gaunt's love for Ellwood doesn't come from his handsome face - he loves his poetry, his passionate spirit.

likewise the moments Ellwood feels closest to Gaunt are those of emotional intimacy, where Gaunt shares his feelings in a way he wouldn't with anyone else - not his feats of strength or impenetrable toughness. he loves his vulnerability.

I like to think that the other's wholehearted acceptance is what helps piece themselves back together after the war

I think Whitewing's lowest point was during the new propechy. Oh new propechy. I love you for what you could have been. You should have made an impact and changed the 4 clans into 1 clan forever. You should have left eveyone traumatized but remembering the sweetness the journey also carried.

Whitepaw lost her parents as they were kidnapped, her friend(crush:>) Shrepaw dies, her friend Spiderpaw changes after his siblings deaths in a way where she can't keep him, and the only one ger age, Leafpaw and Squirrelpaw are already growing up and have seen so much more. She is so very alone.
