sorry for being insane. as if its my fault.
here you go professor. several pages of home brewed bullshit. as opposed to the chatgpt-brewed bullshit you're used to these days. i hope u enjoy it i worked very hard on it ❤️
university is like a video game. you can pick up sidequests. Youre gonna neglect the main storyline. youre gonna end up in a guild of sorts. i just looted a bush on campus and found a sticker
hey! donate to uk trans charities today because it’s gonna be a rough one
Folks in the UK, could we have some trusted links to charities?
There's Mermaids which is always a great option, and then Scotland-specific there's LGBT Youth Scotland, to give you just a couple. There will absolutely be more that other people can suggest though!
switchboard.lgbt and akt.org.uk are two i regularly support, and there’s always stonewall !
trans aid cymru is a mutual aid group rather than a charity but ill always shout them out for wales specific trans community support! they have a donation page here
Scottish Trans Alliance do good work, and more locally to me and also locally to the evil billionaire funding so much of this (we are deeply uneasy neighbours I live in constant fear of seeing her) and also Parliament, Resisting Transphobia in Edinburgh do a lot of community work. Resistance is everywhere, both national and local, official and grassroots, and if you have no money spare to donate then you can donate time, if you have neither you can - you Must - reach out to even just one trans person near you, because community starts with smiling at your neighbours, knowing names, noticing if they're struggling. I survived thanks to one queer person I never knew the name of and spoke barely one sentence to taking 10 minutes out of their day to drop off an LGBTQ youth centre flier for me back in 2016. It starts small. It moves mountains. We are not budging an inch. I love you.
coming up this week on april 17 is palestinian prisoners’ day, a day to reflect on the ongoing detention of palestinians under a system that routinely denies them the right to any fair or clear legal procedures. this means that thousands of palestinians are currently held hostage in israeli prisons, many without formal charges or trial. these palestinians can be imprisoned for indefinite periods based on undisclosed evidence that neither they nor their lawyers, if they have one, are allowed to see. this system undermines basic legal protections and creates a prolonged state of uncertainty for both prisoners and their families
the conditions inside these prisons are deeply concerning. palestinians are often held in overcrowded cells or solitary confinement. reports have documented physical abuse, medical neglect, and psychological torture. in many cases, detainees have faced sexual violence or been denied access to basic hygiene. family visitation rights have been suspended, meaning many families go months or even years without hearing from their loved ones. for many, not knowing if someone is alive or safe becomes its own form of suffering. this has all been exacerbated after october 7, and it cannot continue to get worse.
this day is a reminder that injustice can be embedded within systems that claim to operate under the rule of law. legal aid groups and rights organizations continue to work under immense pressure to document abuses, support families, and advocate for prisoners' rights.
if you are able, consider supporting their work. donating helps ensure that detainees have access to legal support, that stories are not silenced, and that families are not left in the dark. visibility is one step toward justice. if you cannot support through monetary means - READ the stories and resources published by these organizations and advocate from wherever you are in the world.
some organizations you can read up on and support are:
cant stop thinking abt this bit from a psa about activated charcoal flushing your medications from your system

A couple I donate to: TransAid Cymru, to support Welsh trans people, and The Outside Project, which helps queer people in London struggling with homelessness (and as trans people make up a disproportionately large number of unhoused people, it feels very relevant.)
Goes without saying, but don't donate to Pride Cymru, because they're complete shit.
Absolutely cackling over the banjo subreddit
it’s so funny when people online act like women reading trashy romance novels is like. a new phenomenon and a sign of the downfall of society bc this has never been a thing before. this has been an extremely popular genre of book for ages. the only difference now is that they’re written by women who wanted to fuck kylo ren. which i guess is annoying. out of every man in star wars like be so serious. they had harrison ford in those movies
