This is reblog hell for stuff of every variety, but I make my own content from time to time. My main interests are Pop'n Music and Fragaria Memories, but I may occasionally post about other stuff I like, such as Fire Emblem, Puyo Puyo or Pokemon!

  • @shepherdsguild: If you want to send me anon hate, save yourself some time and send it here. I also vent there sometimes if you're into that for some reason, and the askbox is also open for more sensitive subjects (like fandom drama). The next day after you get back and the nerd ninja gives his report you're back on the border and who's there but the Scrawny Nobody who isn't paying attention so you give them the old Big Smack and capture their unconscious body. When they wake up they're just like "hey how's it going" and you're starting to think they just don't know basic survival instincts. They get taken by the Big Cheese and you don't see them until the town center explodes and they turned into a Fucking Dragon and you're telling yourself you're fighting them like that at some point when after everything calms down you're headed right back to border cuz the Queen's dead and war is breaking out and the Scrawny Nobody is in the middle being told to pick a side. AND THEY SAY NO. and hell, at this point you're having trouble keeping up with everything going on so you know they're confused and just sticking to they're morals like glue. Then the next thing you know they're whimpering underneath you in bed and you don't know how you got here.

Okay I'm kinda mad too so I'm gonna ask here, see if it's not just us.

Schizo. It's a slur. It's offensive, makes light of the disorder and people with it, and creates stigma. It shows you refuse to respect people with said severe dosorder. "It's not a slur it's just offensive" I think what you mean to say is it's a derogatory, ableist slur.

Like this genuinely has the whole system pissed the fuck off cause people already treat the disorder and people with it like absolute shit, like the scum in a public shower drain, and now an ex moot of ours is calling people schizo and saying it's not a slur so it's fine (they called someone who used retard in every derogatory way, harassed therians, and made racist Nazi "jokes" cool and based so...)

You see, Perry the Platypus, when Vanessa was a little girl, she wanted to take estrogen. Of course, I said yes. And since then she’s always been my little girl. Well recently, Vanessa’s school deadnamed her on her reports! Can you believe that!? I mean we live in a fairly progressive area and—hey, isn’t that not allowed in public schools??

Anyway, that’s when I got the idea for THIS! The deadname-eraser-inator! That way, not only will Vanessa no longer be deadnamed, but EVERY OTHER TRANS PERSON IN THE TRI! STATE! AREA!

I love reading about these kind of translation decisions.

I've only ever seen 弊 used to refer to one's company: 弊社, as the article says.

I've been told 弊 is used to refer to one's own something, and it has a very humble nuance.

So 弊機 translates to something like "I, your humble machine" or "I, who am but a mere machine".

Japanese is great that it can say so much with simple pronouns.
