Needle Arts

@needle-imaginings

Needle craft of all sorts that I admire and derive inspiration from, also a few bits of my own work.

Fannie Pete, Pig, ca. 1987, handspun wool with native and vegetable dyes, 33 1⁄4 x 26 3⁄4 in. (84.4 x 67.9 cm), Smithsonian American Art Museum, Gift of Chuck and Jan Rosenak and museum purchase made possible by Ralph Cross Johnson, 1997.124.190

With all the amazing new Goggins content, I’m hoping it pushes everyone to look up his other work and rewatch ‘Justified’ and get it popular again so we get a second season of Graylan, but this time they bring Tim back into the storyline, along with his husband and clever quips. Manifesting this for me ✨.

4x4 inch hand-embroidered hoop.

haven’t watched this in forever, time for a binge

A close up detailed photograph of an exemplary work by May Morris that highlights both her design aesthetic and her technical skill. May kept this in her home and personal collection for the majority of her life. Photograph taken by the author of link below.

Ayyy Happy 🎱 Friday the 13th! 🍀 I’ve asked my magic 8 ball for advice, and it just said “"If you or a loved one was diagnosed with Mesothelioma you may be entitled to financial compensation.” I think I have the wrong channel.

what you need to understand is that textile work is basically the closest i have seen to Real Magic and the reason old ladies in quilting spaces are either the grumpiest or the most whacky cheerful people you'll ever meet is because they're basically wizards who have studied the ancient crafts too long
