I hope they keep some of the dialogue from “The Wizard of Oz” in Wicked Part Two because the new context and double meanings would be so funny and yet so sad at the same time.

Galinda: “Rubbish. You have no power here. Begone, before somebody drops a house on you too.”
Galinda: *weakly waves her sparkly training wand at Elphaba*
Elphaba: *looks visibly hurt by the comment*
Galinda: *silently apologizes and pleads with her eyes and she continues to wave her powerless wand at Elphaba*
Elphaba: *continues to look grieved and angry and hurt*
Galinda: *desperately tries to cover her sadness over Nessa’s death with confidence as she continues shaking her glitter wand in Elphaba’s direction while silently warning her with her eyes that her comment was a warning, not an insult*
Dorothy: *goes from looking terrified to looking progressively confused as she watches their silent emotional exchange while Galinda waves a useless bubble wand at her super powerful best friend like a child*
Galinda: *frantically shakes her useless sparkle wand one more time while the munchkins watch in nervous anticipation*
Elphaba: *sighs and pretends to be helpless against Galinda’s power*
Elphaba: “Very well. I’ll bide my time.”

I’m BEGGING anyone who is going to reblog any news/political posts here AT ALL to turn timestamps on.

Things are happening too quickly right now to not know when something was posted before responding to it or passing it on as though it just happened when it’s actually a headline from like 2018. Please. The solution to this is very easy.

Settings -> General -> Dashboard Settings -> there’s a toggle for timestamps on

when i was 9 i was banned from editing the muscovy duck wikipedia page because i kept editing any mention of the flavor of their meat to say things like “they taste like dirty dishwater” because i had pet muscovy ducks and couldn’t bear the thought of them being eaten, so i tried to run a smear campaign on duck meat

^ that is a muscovy duck. mine was named bruno and i have scars to this day from allowing him to perch with his giant, incredibly sharp nails on my arm like a parrot. i was honestly the most intimidating 9yo duck owner you can imagine

something you really learn from this site is that 'sounding reasonable' is a writing style you can just adopt while saying bizarre things, and if you just sound sure enough you are in fact the most reasonable person online about 80% of all users will just assume you are in fact so very reasonable, that your sources check out and you are drawing reasonable conclusions from them. You don't actually need to make sense.

If you use the right tone you can also, essentially without effort, convince people anyone who disagrees has evil motivations or convictions in some way. Convincingly performed indignation makes people very apologetic/makes them side with you because this is a very scary emotion to them (the userbase is terrified of being guilty or siding with the guilty). Doesn't matter what you're actually saying this applies in basically any situation. But you cannot use dated memespeak or writing styles popular on this site 2+ years ago because those annoy everyone and make you look stupid and easy to make fun of.

again it doesn't matter what you're actually saying. This site is all about tone. It's basically like talking to a baby or perhaps a small dog. it's about sounding cool.

laurennicolechapman: I have considered caption after caption, and I’m just not ready to say goodbye to Anna. So I’m not going to just yet. There are so many words that I’m not ready to cultivate, but please know how grateful I am for every warm hug I’ve been granted. Goodbye Frozen, goodbye Anna, and hello to the person this show has grown me into over the last seven years. Thank you Frozen, thank you Anna, and thank you to every single person who has led me to growing a heart that has been hopeful (a constant), frozen (a later, harder discussion), thawed (a later, warmer discussion), and everything in between. 💚 I know it all ends tomorrow, so it has to be today. I genuinely believe— after seven years— it has to be today. For the first time in forever, there is nothing in my way. And that is not a path I’ve paved alone. And now… to the next right thing. :)

alyssajoyfox:

Tonight is our very last show on the @frozenbroadway North American tour ❄️

After our Broadway show closed in 2020, I never thought that I would get a true goodbye to this show and the people that have touched my heart through it. I picked up here where I left off as Elsa-- with a new understanding of what it really means. Finishing off the last five weeks of this tour has been a whirlwind and a gift.

I had a rough last couple of weeks after recovering from illness, and it's clear that things don't always turn out how you expect, but the journey is the point. Elsa has encouraged me to truly embody imperfection, to break through expectations, and to learn what it means to truly Let It Go 💙 And how grateful I am to get to end this journey with my beautiful sister @laurennicolechapman and this incredible company who welcomed me onto this moving train with open hearts. I wish we had more time, but savoring each moment with you.

What a joy. What an honor. Thank you for everything, Arendelle. I love you 🫶🏻✨
