hey hi hello! this is the den of a goblin by name of socket, or a human by name of joey, who may or may not be several dorky arcanists in a trenchcoat

within this den lies an eclectic jumble of fandomposting, wizard appreciation, tabletop and OC yelling, posts that otherwise resonated with me, pretty art, and....just me scrawling on the walls, really (which is to say you will be subjected to my stream of consciousness; i do a lot of introspection and parts work on main, and i also have never been normal about my blorbos or my interests in my life and don't intend to start.) there will be the occasional nsfw post, it keeps the ecosystem healthy.

do people who live in countries that don't have snow know about the snow silence? When you get a nice big dumping of fresh snow and you step outside into an infinitely harshly contrasted world and there's no sound because the snow absorbs it all? I believe it fits the traditional use of terrific both wonderful and incredible but also causing a great terror.

Fun writing idea for you and a few friends: Everyone takes turns writing a single short chapter for a story, continuing off from where the previous person left off.

The twist is that everyone randomly picks a genre at the start, and has to stick to that genre as best they can, while still preserving characters and situations and such from the previous chapter.

So everyone has to wrestle for control of the story as it abruptly changes from old lady murder mystery to space adventure to period piece to shonen action back to murder mystery and so on

Could be fun

#i wanna do this SO bad. you wouldn’t even have to do a whole chapter you could just do a scene and switch genres!

i’ve said it before and i’ll say it again: what we want is for these things to be run like a HOUSEHOLD… a home. A household still has a budget and an income and resources to manage; all the moving parts are the same but the focus is different.

a business will let every person in it die a terrible death if it makes the business profit. A household will spend it’s last dollar to keep the people in it safe and healthy.

A household will use money as a resource to add value to the lives of the people in the household. A business will use people as a resource to add monetary value to the business

We don’t want a government run like a business, we want a country run like a household. Because we live here.
