Exactly this. People do not understand that a non-toxic man is way more man than any other male because they do not let their masculinity be bothered at all by a woman being their equal or greater.

Chakotay is fascinating because he’s so complex. A terrorist who has killed and could easily kill again. If the circumstances are right. His big kind heart keeps him grounded and keeps him from killing for no good reason.

He has no issues with Kathryn outranking him, or with her leadership. Yet, he keeps a watchful eye on her for her protection. Oftentimes from herself. But he would never ever overstep his boundaries. Until he knows for certain that she’s out of control.

He is more than a prince. He’s the type of man other men absolutely should look towards in how to treat anyone, including themselves.

I was trying to recall how old I was when I first watched Star Trek and I think I was about eight years old, because I remember showing my Year 4 teacher my Star Trek Fact Files.

But wait! My daughter is turning eight next year!

My brain just did a total parent bluescreen, because she is in no way old enough to watch that, what the hell.

Which is why I'm a) glad my parents didn't look at this too closely and b) thinking maybe I should introduce her to more mature content, because it didn't do me any harm (probably).

Soooo, my new gf (hi, Amanda ❤️) is lovely but not into Star Trek. 😭 She has watched some of tos but she wasn’t impressed, and she’s watched AOS that she kinda liked 😭 hence why it’s not in the poll. I don’t think she liked it that much tho to keep exploring strange new worlds and all that. 😂
