I wonder if the batfam fandom has like, the equivalent of a passerine fic. you know. like the passerine fic from the dsmp fandom.

what i mean by this is like, a fanfic centering the batfamily that is so insanely well written that even if you haven't read it, every fandom-regular has at least heard about it and how good and emotionally wrecking it is. and i'm talking "binging in three days and sobbing for 2/3rd of that time" good, i'm talking "insane characterization reflecting the characters tragedy but with a hopeful note" good. i hope it exists every fandom deserves a gem like that.

haven't really interacted much with the dc fandom but i feel like (at least on twitter) so many of them just hate fun ?

do you think the batkids have like a board or a journal where they keep track of the most batshit insane things they yelled at bruce in the heat of the moment during an arguement

bruce, jason and dick get stranded in another dimension. they have to deal with the tim and damian from that dimension while trying to get home.

meanwhile, steph, cass, tim and damian have to deal with gotham being flooded because of an arkham breakout. the only communication they have is videos that tim can send bruce through a phone that is dimension proofed. each new video gives bruce a new gray stress-induced hair. they are all having the worst time of their lifes. its a fantastic bonding opportunity for the entire family.

I understand bruce wayne's dislike for damian wanting to retire as robin. I too would be scared. what if the universe throws another new kid at him, he couldn't handle that.

love reading batman au fics but whenever an au involves a timeline where bruce never raised dick i get so sad actually like wdym he never raised dick thats literally his baby 😭
