Note here so people see it: If you send me an ask and I don’t reply it means tumblr deleted it before I got to answer. It keeps happening I’m sorry I’m not ignoring you. Unless it’s a racist ask then I’m totally ignoring you.

Pinned post with a presentation and the meaning of some words and expression I might use.

Starting with posts I suggest you.

Algerian movies and movies about Algeria or Algerians (the original post and the first reblog has Algerian movies only, the third one has French movies too as well as documentaries and I cannot vouch for all of them some are… well they are what they are)

Is the youths negative perception of Israel due to antisemitism or is it because israeli soldiers posted themselves on tiktok wearing palestinian women's lingerie 🤔

Is it antisemitism or is it the mangled bodies of palestinian children? Is it antisemitism or videos of soldiers making light of blowing up a school or mosque? Is it watching their government approve weapons transfers to Israel to attack a strip of land full of people with no capability to defend themselves? Is it antisemitism or the articles coming out that israeli soldiers admit running their tanks over people, using palestinian captives as human shields in buildings, or admitting they killed children? It's a tough call honestly

Is it antisemitism or is it simply recognizing that Palestinian lives (Arab lives and people of color lives in general) are human lives and being able to have empathy for them?

Is it antisemitism or is it recognizing settler colonialism and its violence against indigenous people, seeing ourselves and so many other people in the Palestinian struggle for liberation?

Nader told me that usually he would go visit his family for Eid, but this year is different.

Nader @abdalsalam2000 is only seventeen years old, and has been working hard every day to fundraise for his family which includes his father Ahmed who has cancer and urgently needs treatment, and his one year old niece Iman. After being displaced more than nine times, they were finally able to return to their home in Northern Gaza after the ceasefire came into effect in january, only to find their childhood home and everything they had destroyed.

I’ve been helping Nader with his campaign for several months, and I want to tell you that he is a very kind, hard working young man with many dreams and things he wants to do, that the occupation has taken from him. He’s only seventeen and should be in school, but he has to spend his time trying to ask for help online instead just for the survival of his family. This is difficult work, but of course he does it because he loves his family. Him and his family deserve food, safety, and happiness. Please show him that we care about them and that we are listening and see what is happening to them

Their previous campaign was very close to reaching their goal thanks to all of Nader’s hard work reaching out to people for help and advocating for his family and spreading information about the events in Gaza as it was happening, but gofundme stopped transfers from that campaign and they had to start over.

If you have anything to give today, your donation would mean the world to them. You have a chance to help support this family through this. Losing the first gofundme was a devastating blow to their campaign, but you can help them by supporting this one to make up for the lost funds.

€11,430 raised out of 50,000! they are at 23% of their goal, let’s help Nader and his family get to 25% soon!

Zionists are so wrapped in their anti Arab racism and their Islamophobia that I just saw a bunch of French Zionists commenting “long live Papon” under a video talking about the massacre of October 17 1961 in Paris.

Bitches are celebrating an actual Nazis - Papon was actually judged guilty of collaborating with the Nazis and crime against humanity - because you know he slaughtered Algerians so that’s okay (the fact that it happened 20 years after he slaughters Jewish people apparently doesn’t matter to these Zionists)

The French government just canceled 320 millions euros worth of fines for Vincent Bolloré one of the richest man of the country who own the biggest news network of the country and tried to have the law changed to be able to buy more medias…

Vincent Bollore que racist piece of shit who has been exploiting people in Cameroon not respecting human rights in palm groves to extract palm oil. They are made the work without proper gear, are housed in unhealthy and unsanitary places and some of the people are clearly minors. Same racist who has been using illegal means (threatening people and corruption) to expropriate people in Cameroon, Sierra Leone, Cambodge and Nigeria to steal their land for more palm groves. Same racist who meddled in Guinean and Togolese elections because it was more advantageous for him to be able to steal more land.

For the record for Cameroon his defense is “we own only 1/3 of the company so maybe it’s all true but we’re not responsible” for the land stealing he is just denying it and for the corruption he admitted that he did it, unfortunately for Guinea it’s too old so the limit has expired. For Togo he pleaded guilty and said he would pay a fine of almost 400 millions but the judge decided that the accusations are too big to just let him get away with a deal so he refused and now we’re waiting for the trial.

For those who don’t know or for the non Muslim who want to participate (non Muslim fasting during ramadan is becoming a thing so maybe some of them will want to give Zakat): 2.5% of your savings (Gold Nissab is at 5900€ according to the great mosque of Paris Silver Nissab is at 530€) If a year ago you had less than the Nissab in your saving (including gold jewelry you haven’t worn for a year) you don’t have to give Zakat al maal. If a year ago you had more than the Nissab in your saving you have to give 2,5% of said savings to people in need.

It’s better to give it before the end of Ramadan to help out people but it’s not a rule you can chose a date and do it every year at the same date (use the Muslim calendar or a lunar calendar if you want to do things properly)

Zakat al fitr (different from Zakat al maal) is also an obligation for you and the people under your responsibility and you only have one more day maybe 2 to pay it (in France it’s 9€ per person but it depends for each country unlike the Nissab).

Also just saying but those of you who have bank accounts in the West and received interests, given that it’s haram (riba) removing the interests to give the money is better than keeping it. We’re almost in April so most people already gave their interests but those who didn’t don’t forget to do it. Palestinians fundraisers are a good option to give that money as it’s not yours to use in the first place.

This is a picture of the cover page of the news magazine “Valeurs actuelles”. You can see the Algerian president and the French president facing each other. The headline says “The Algerian poison” and the subtitle says “Visas, order to leave France, Sansal: the unbearable affronts” “Our investigation on the inside threat taboo” (they are talking about how the Algerian diaspora is an enemy inside the country and how it’s taboo to say it but it should be said) and a quote from Laurent Wauquiez saying “We don’t owe anything to Algeria”.

Do I even need to comment this or add anything to explain how fucked up it is.

(That being said being considered a threat and a poison by white supremacists is actually a badge of honor)

Mussolini used mustard gas on both civilian and military targets in his attempt to colonize Ethiopia (and western Europe let him)

Some people in the reblogs are misunderstanding Lella and thinking she's saying that Mussolini was "less bad" than Hitler. Lella is Libiyan and Algerian, a direct victim of Italian facism. She is saying that Mussolini is often thought of as a "lesser evil" even though he committed atrocities throughout Africa — and he's thought of that way because his victims were African. She is not saying *she* thinks Italian facism is a "lesser evil" but that people often neglect to even mention the horrors of italian colonialism.

Sansal: *Justifies French colonialism in Algeria and denies colonial crimes. Justify Moroccan colonialism. Admits on video, without knowing he was filmed, that back when he was in the Algerian government in the 90’s he secretly met with Netanyahu’s government to collude with him to try to force normalization between Algeria and “Israel” which is considered high treason under Algerian law.*

French people including leftists: Sansal shouldn’t be jailed in Algeria we should work with Algeria for his liberation.

At some point white people, including allies, need to learn when they need to shut the fuck up and step aside. You don’t get to support settler colonialism in a country where people suffered greatly from settler colonialism and hide behind freedom of speech. You don’t get to admit that you colluded with the Zionist entity during the Algerian Black decade and hide behind freedom of speech.

Yeah, agreed, I'm fucking pissed and disappointed, anybody who speak up even in "favor of Algeria" repeats that they are favorable to his immidiate release, ehhhhh you kinda don't get to decide that? Sansal is Algerian, he willingly came into his country after he had made declarations that touched on our territorial integrity and revealed some informations that harmed our safety. Algeria arrested him and put him on trial according to our laws, and suddenly it's a French interior affair. This goes to show the role this man had in France (since no, France will not be fighting for liberty of expression or Algerians this way, not even French people abroad) but also the ignorance of the left over our country as well. The only people who I've seen with accurate takes were from our diaspora.

You don't demand the release of a prisoner in a foreign country, the man being Algerian and judged as so for Algeria doesn't recognize double nationality. You don't use liberty of expression as an excuse for crimes of lobbying and spying against your country, working as a foreign agent and spreading colonial propaganda.

France is also the last country on earth to be able to judge us over the way we handle our law, when Algeria merely asked where the case of Nahel was going, they fussed up a storm, they arrested our diaspora for supporting Palestine and they themselves are still detaining George ibrhim Abd Allah for over 40 years with a fabricated trial.

The agreement between Algeria and France is also very specific regarding dual citizens. France cannot use the French citizenship to ask for the release of dual citizens. If Sansal wanted to be under French laws only he should have given up his Algerian citizenship cause the second the plane got into the Algerian airspace, he stopped being under French law and his French citizenship became useless.

Each country has its own history. Because of the horrors of the holocaust you can’t just support the holocaust in France (unless that holocaust is against Arabs but that’s an other topic here). Because of the horrors of settler colonialism you can’t just support settler colonialism in Algeria (no matter if that settler colonialism is against us or against Palestinians because unlike some people who only care about the holocaust to look good we actually care about decolonization for real)

P.S: The reason the only proper take you see coming from France are from the diaspora is that we know that EVERYTHING France says about Algeria is to be taken with a grain of salt. So whenever something happens we research it ourselves instead of listening to so called specialists. Meanwhile white people, including those who are usually our allies, still have unconscious racist bias. For them it makes total sense for Algeria to arrest a guy for no reason so when they are told that it’s what happened they run with it.

Did your guys parents use olive oil on your hair as kids or was that just a Palestinian thing

Algerian here and my mom and grandma used to put olive oil on my hair and I had the beautiful thick and long SWANA hair (straight when using the kardoune and beautiful curls when not using it). Then I grew up stopped using olive oil and using western methods and products… my curls pattern broke and my hair became thin…

I’ve been going back on my roots and using olive oil and doing the kardoune instead of using hot tools when I want my hair to be straight and my hair says thank you it’s so much better.

P.S: This is a kardoune and for me not all ribbon works the same. It HAS to be this fabric or it does nothing to my hair.

The best kardoune experiences are the ones done by someone else like your mom or a sister or an aunt or a grandma because to me it’s a bonding experience and it’s a way to show care and love. I’m 30 I can do it alone but I love going to my mom with olive oil, a hair brush and my kardoune so my mom can oil my hair and brush my hair and wrap my hair in the kardoune. When my “nieces” come over they always bring their kardoune and always ask me to brush their hair and wrap their kardoune.

That being said it’s not always an option and ultimately you can get a kardoune just as efficient minus the bonding experience by tying a knot with the kardoune at the beginning before you start wrapping it.

If it’s too hard you can use a hair tie first and tie the kardoune above the hair tie (unlike what’s on the picture the hair tie shouldn’t be covered or you won’t be able to remove it) and remove the hair tie before wrapping your kardoune.

My favorite method alone is holding one end of the kardoune in my mouth and wrapping the kardoune around my hair twice with my two hands before tying it up with the loose end that I hold in my mouth.

Also when you have thick and long hair once you get used to it you can separate your hair in two and make two kardoune one on each side. It’s easier to make it tight that way.

Also if you want to use your kardoune to sleep with it and straighten your hair you need to slick back your hair with a wild boar hairs hair brush or with the round plastic hair brush we (Africans) all grew up with and wear a scarf to bed to keep it all neat.

P.S: I am becoming a kardoune specialist 😂 sometimes I do it before going to bed and the next day when I wake up I don’t even have to brush my hair I go out to work with my kardoune and don’t remove it until I get home after work. I often use it as a protective hairstyle and go out with it spending the day with a tight kardoune.

Thank you so much for vetting Ibrahim's (#446) fundraiser. I've been trying very hard to get verified somewhere, so I'm so glad you stepped in. It's brought him many more donations, and he is very happy. I was wondering if you could add his instagram and tumblr information into the masterlist.

He is on tumblr @ebrahimtarek2002 and his instagram is @/ibrahimtareqj.

His cousin, Ahmed al-Najjar, is also on tumblr (@ahmedalnajjer) and instagram (@/ahmenshawkyalnajjar). He has his own fundraiser, and I'm not sure if you can verify him, but I asked Ibrahim about it, and he said it is legitimate (they follow each other on Instagram too).

Thank you so much again.

“First if we manage to kick out all the m***** (anti Algerian slur that is now an anti SWANA slur) it will be a huge win already. After that we will be left with Jews. But the Jews come right after, you get what I mean. We all hate the Jews. But right now the most important targets are Muslims. Jews have always been a problem, I’ve always said it and will never deny it. But they are not the biggest problem today, Arabs are.”

Quote from the French far right voters who support “Israel” and who pretend to fight against antisemitism in France. Zionists get the allies they deserve. For the record this is the party that was supported by “Israel”. So when I say that Zionism = Fascism = Nazism I mean it.

(I remember a couple years ago I read an article about how the French far right made a study to see what bother the most French people with them and they realized that it was their open antisemitism. French people were okay with the rest they just had issue with the obvious antisemitism so the far right got better at hiding it while being more and more violent against SWANA people and Black people. And it fucking worked they became one of the leading parties of the country in just a decade. But that’s an other subject.)

This person is so funny because this isnt the first time they hate on Al-Andalus and the speak about the Christian rule of Spain positively. People quote rting and being like "Islam is nazism" like do we all know what happened after reconquista and hundreds of years of spanish "exploration" oooorr....

I legitimately don't care about al-andalus I just think its funny how people HATE it so much literally only because it's muslim.

If they want to talk about things that happened centuries ago instead of things happening today, perhaps they should look into a little thing called The Inquisition

Not only the inquisition (which was quite awful!) But also colonization of the Americas, the phillippines, and parts of africa!

Avatar
sissa-arrows

Also Zionists who pretend to care so much about Jewish people but praise the Reconquista will never not be a proof of their racism… especially anti Arab racism.

Like please someone reminds them want happened to Spanish Jews and Jewish people in general after the end of Al Andalus and also reminds them WHERE they found refuge? Hint: It wasn’t Christian France or any Christian country.

Great guy, I wonder what he said!

There can be no voluntary agreement between ourselves and the Palestine Arabs. Not now, nor in the prospective future. I say this with such conviction, not because I want to hurt the moderate Zionists. I do not believe that they will be hurt. Except for those who were born blind, they realised long ago that it is utterly impossible to obtain the voluntary consent of the Palestine Arabs for converting "Palestine" from an Arab country into a country with a Jewish majority.
And it made no difference whatever whether the colonists behaved decently or not. The companions of Cortez and Pizzaro or (as some people will remind us) our own ancestors under Joshua Ben Nun, behaved like brigands; but the Pilgrim Fathers, the first real pioneers of North America, were people of the highest morality, who did not want to do harm to anyone, least of all to the Red Indians, and they honestly believed that there was room enough in the prairies both for the Paleface and the Redskin. Yet the native population fought with the same ferocity against the good colonists as against the bad.
The native populations, civilised or uncivilised, have always stubbornly resisted the colonists, irrespective of whether they were civilised or savage

-Iron Wall, Ze'ev Jabotinksy (1923)

Wow, truly remarkable, makes you think that Zionism is a land back movement and not a colonialist project like he's describing it here.

They named the current invasion of the West Bank after Jabotinsky's essay, it's quite ironic how they're not pulling any pretenses and just being honest about their colonial intents.
