Advice for Pagans Doing Dreamwork: Drink Less, Dream More.

Before we begin, you know you, and you better be of legal age to drink. Be smart, be safe, dont make me sad!

Now then, hello pagans and witches! Many of us incorporate the interpretation of dreams in our craft. For Tengrists especially, it is important to keep yourself "open" to the potential to recieve important information via dreaming.

For people who love a good sippy once in awhile and are practioners of dreamwork, a helpful tip is to not drink heavily (or at least drink heavily on special occasions).

You see alcohol can affect your sleep quality but also can affect your ability to dream. After a couple of servings of alcohol (which depends on the person) your brain will simply not dream and try to remove the toxins from your body.

If you are waiting for a spiritual sign or dream, DO NOT drink alcohol until you are satisfied and feel like its not important any longer. You can still probably get a way with a drink or 2 however.

Feel like this may help some people out there! Cheers! 🍷

Bout to tell some of the IRL homies Im not christian and havent been for like a year and a half 😬 any advice?

Just remember you don't have to tell them everything, or explain yourself more than feels good. "I am no longer a Christian. It no longer resonates with me," is sufficient. No one, including loved ones, is entitled to an explanation. If you were raised in evangelicalism, it can feel like you HAVE to defend, explain, prove. You don't. That's residual evangelicalism. You are allowed to have privacy around your new beliefs, around the moments that led out out of Christianity, around any ambiguity you're experiencing. You may feel that if you can't perform apologetics for your new worldview, you are not sincere or are not fully committed. That is residual evangelicalism. You do not need to convert or placate. You have permission to evolve and change, and permission to have a private faith. And, the more information you give out, the more they feel like they can argue or exhort or displace their discomfort with your deconversion onto you.

I grew up orthodox/catholic, not evangelical but still very good advice. Your faith is allowed to be private. Well said!

These lil kittie cats are freaking adorable 🥰

Honestly I love cats so Ill take the bad luck to say hi to one of these lil guys once in awhile. I used to have one named Lady Moon :> anyways take care! Short one today!

Speechcraft101: What is Double Speak?

(Please check out this video as this is gonna be the real meat of the post and this guy does a better job than I could simply)

Double speak is way of making one thing sound like something else. It's the art of misleading someone in speech.

Youll find many famous Pagan characters and stories have this moment: Loki, Famous evil cult leaders from the 70s, Satan in the Bible, really any character of mischief in mythology.

Get this! Its also common in US politics. Presidents, politicians, good and bad.

So in conclusion, I am not failing my classes I am "Struggling to reach the ideal point of resolve for my educational goals"

Extra Worldly: The Significance of Dreams

Dreams, according to Robert Monroe and the CIA's analysis of the Gateway Process, hold major significance where you are often are receiving signs about yourself and the future.

The studies done on astral projection and the subjects that developed the skills to astral project learned about some side effects of trying to leave the body. One of these side effects was the ability to remember their dreams! Sometimes 2-3 a night!

Many of these people began to write down their dreams and bring up notes about them. What they discovered was the dreams helded symbols or advice about themselves, someone they knew, and even the future.

Other 3rd party studies were later done and the consensus of that information was that dreams were not just willy nilly, or your brain processing information. It is more likely (from a spiritual/religious perspective) you are astral projecting and going to a realm or place more specific to you. Instead of going out in the world, instead you are going inward in your soul. Here you often recieve information from your self at your core. In Thelemic Paganism this would be "your true self".

Ever had a prophetic dream? It turns out its more common than you think!

How Can We Make Our Home a Spiritual Place?

(I recommend another post I made called "Silent Hour" if you are looking for ways to make your home a spiritual place. That has really workes for me but I will not cover that method here for the sake of redundency)

Hey everyone! So last week I had asked my followers where they feel the most spiritually connected and disconnected. One of the biggest responses I got for disconnected was their homes! Id like to try to help in anyway I can so I will offer a list of pagan/witchy ideas so that you can feel more spiritually connected. I hope this helps!

1. Shameless plug, go to my profile and search "Silent Hour"

2. Decorate your room/apartment/home with witchy/inspirational art work

3. Clean your house

4. If you live with a roomate you if you have a family try to learn an instrument and sing songs together! I did this one myself recently and highly recommend

5. Mood lighting

6. Try a daily ritual: either a small prayer or routine it shouldnt be anything that takes longer than 5-10 minutes

7. Learn to make tea or coffee and get expiremental with it! Try infusing coffee grounds with chocolate or vanilla extract!

8. When you can, try to have a "you" day. Stay home and do things you enjoy, turn off your phone.

9. Watch a comfort movie

10. Learn to cook your favorite food from a restraunt you like! Or from a video game!

Its important to note its not always about making your home the place you do magic. Its about making the home a reflection of you! As within, so is without! I hope this helps you guys!

If yall have tips let me know Ill be moving out next year myself :>
