The belated Pinned Post

I decided it might be a good idea to give my hoard of insanity (aka my blog) at least SOME level of direction for anyone who stumbles upon it.

Who the hell are you anyway? I'm C-Puff! But when I joined tumblr that name was taken and I've just never tried to reclaim it since then. I'm an animator/Ink and Painter and Youtuber I guess is something I can say now.

My Youtube channel is C-Puff Person where I talk about animation, cartoons and anime. My second and far less formal channel is C-Puff Plays which only exists so I can try and indoctrinate people into being as obsessed with the Mass Effect Trilogy as I am.

This is my main blog on tumblr. I technically have sideblogs but I gave up trying to have any kind of order to things so now everything just goes here.

For art, my tag is #I Need a Better Art Tag for links to my youtube, the tag is #My Videos

You're mostly gonna see me screaming about Mass Effect, Undertale, Sailor Moon, Revolutionary Girl Utena, History, Archaeology, Film and TV, and what ever else I'm insane about that week.

I have a Patreon which helps fund my videos, live streams and art and other projects. As well as a Ko-Fi which is more of a tip-jar than anything else. Theoretically I am also on Twitter although I am not super active there. However if you need to contact me somewhere other than tumblr that would be the best place.

Although my blog is generally sfw, please be aware that I am very much a 90s millennial kid (aka an adult who's been on the internet long enough to not give out personal info like my age). So my blog might not always be appropriate for minors. I won't stop you from following me if you're under 18, but I'm not gonna curate my personal space to accommodate you. So that's on you if you decide to follow me.

Like why are the tiktokers treating tumblr like some professional ass website you need to do extensive prep before you begin posting on. And the follower farming advice is so fucking funny to me when this is the website where people actively hate getting new followers

ethics of making AI images aside, I do find a bit amusing the kinds of sob stories and mental gymnastics people make up to pretend like drawing is this super technical skill with an impossibly high barrier of entry when its like one of the first hobbies toddlers pick up

suddenly a lot of people think they got the next Lord of the Rings in their head but they were never able to turn their stories into anything tangible because the evil elitist artists are hogging all the talent and skill and they need a bajilion years of training or something as if one of the most popular manga and anime of the past decade wasn't made by a guy that draws like this

If you have story ideas but you can't make them look how you wish you could make them look, you suck it up and do it a different way and 99 times out of 100 I guarantee anyone who cares will like it better that way.

Listen my dudes Ancient Egypt existed for a really fuckass long time. Literally just Pharaonic civilization lasted 3,000 years. That’s not even including predynastic civilization and Roman rule. If you lump that in you’re looking at more like… 5,000 years. Like. If you want a comparison of how long that is: THE YEAR IS CURRENTLY 2018. TWO THOUSAND. TWO-THIRDS OF ANCIENT EGYPTIAN PHARAONIC CIVILIZATION HAVE HAPPENED SINCE THE ‘BIRTH OF JESUS CHRIST’ We comparatively just entered the Third Intermediate Period. The Greeks will not take over for another 700~ years. Cleopatra will not be born until the year 2931.

Anyway look. Listen. I sat my ass down and wrote out a timeline of “when shit happened if you started at 1AD” because I know backwards numbers are hard to process but here’s an abridged version. If the first Egyptian Pharaoh came to power in 1AD then…

300: step pyramid built 450: Great Pyramid at Giza built 815: Pepi II dies and civil war breaks out 950: Egypt re-unified 1350: Middle Kingdom ends 1450: New Kingdom begins 1520: Hatshepsut is on the throne 1650: Ahkenaten switches to monotheistic religion and builds a new city 1680: Tutankhamun dies 1720: Ramesses II ‘the great’ ascends to the throne 1740: World’s first peace treaty signed 1790: Ramesses II dies leaving way too many children 1920: Egypt breaks into 2 states again And now we get to ~~~~the future~~~~. If we started at 1AD all of this stuff hasn’t happened yet 2050: Briefly re-united as a single state 2180: Civil war 2250: Nubian kings take over 2335: Assyrian conquest 2665: Alexander the Great conquers Egypt 2930: Cleopatra VII born 2970: Cleopatra VII dies. Egypt falls to Rome. Fin.

And that’s just starting with the Pharaohs. If you wanted to start with Predynastic Egypt, you can go ahead and ADD ONE THOUSAND YEARS to all of those dates
