Physical media is really awesome but please don’t discount sites like Bandcamp where you can buy DRM-free digital media. Buying raw media files lets you:

- Store a collection of millions of songs on a single hard drive (or burn them to CDs yourself!)

- Directly support artists, even those without the time/clout/resources to sell physical media

- With 20 minutes of effort, share your media library with anyone, anywhere, as much as you want.

Giant publishing companies are trying *really hard* to convince everyone that digital media is synonymous with you-don’t-own-shit streaming services, eternal subscription fees, and locked-down snoopscope video players. But there’s a reason so many artists sell their works online without those catches. Go support them!

I go to the grocery store, heading straight for the dairy section. Positioning myself in the middle of the milk shelf, I let out one single long, wailing, cheese-curdling scream. Every single carton of fresh dairy product within hearing distance has now been rendered undrinkable. The poor worker whose only task this shift was to keep me out of the store and most importantly away from the dairy at all costs is fired on the spot. I do not linger to bear witness to the grief and destruction I have caused. Knowing that I caused it is enough.

These petty, pointless acts of meaningless evil are the reason that I will not see the kingdom of heaven.

BIG LOVE! BIG CHALLENGES!

[ID: An abstract pen and marker illustration of the crocodile Sanrio character Big Challenges which incorporates the phrases "Big Love" and "Big Challenges", hearts, scribbling shapes, the transgender flag, and the transgender symbol throughout. End ID]

happy tdov never kill yourself

do whatever else you have to do . drop everything and change your life never become mega successful by capitalist standards drop out of school quit your job etc. or do nothing at all and just survive whatever that looks like day to day. but whatever you do dont kill yourself

if you have the energy to do one other thing besides survive it should be trying to help the most vulnerable members of our community survive too. “come kill me yourself” isnt just a little witty rejoinder its happening right now to us, to trans women and trans people of color and trans women of color more than anything. so step 1 never kill yourself step 2 never let that be the only option for anyone else either

angels can be transgender but in the sense of like. hey i wish i had a body. hey i wish i wasn't made of light i wish i had flesh and blood. like you. i wish i had skin, i wish i had eyes. i wish i could tan. i wish i could get a tattoo. i wish i could be marked by the things that affected me, instead of being immortal and pure and unblemished. i wish i could show it. i wish i didn't have to go into battle and come out without a scratch, i wish i could fall and i wish i could scrape my knee. oh shit

throughout history, the wealthy and powerful tend to create a set of rules for themselves to follow- european gentry, for example, developed specific rules for speech, dress, eating, manners, etc etc. and to some extent these rules did restrain them, but at the same time, it gave them power- by following these rules, you show your status as someone with power, both to other powerful people, and to those of lower class. certainly there were nobles who chafed under these rules, but the vast majority of them, consciously or subconsciously, accept them as the price for power, even enjoyed performing them as a status symbol. it would be ridiculous to say that the nobility was oppressed by feudialism- they wielded incredible power and freedom to use that power to hurt others, even if they had to play by a handful of rules to do so.
