Main WIPs

  • Ghosts of the Steel Road: A YA/NA fantasy novel following Melandra, a young woman who searches for her father among mysterious murders and rumors of cults down the road that is the main artery of trade in and out of the port city she calls home. This is planned to be the first in a trilogy.
  • Petal, Pedal: A YA Dystopian novel following Abigail, a girl on the edge of adulthood who finds herself outside of the town that was her entire world, and is thrown into a network of conspiracies and plots that could reshape everything she has ever known, for better or for worse.
  • Ghost Mural WIP: A currently-unannounced novel following a new art teacher at a school for the magically-talented, where she finds herself haunted by the legacy of the art teacher before her, and her own past.

Other Projects

  • Any Way You Haunt It: A narrative podcast written for a class of mine. I was one of the main writers for Episode One.
  • The Bounty: A narrative podcast I’m doing as a bit of a side project following three groups of supernatural hunters who find themselves on the trail of a mysterious monster in a state park. Will they manage to decipher the nature of this ever-changing beast, and what is with the large bounty the mayor has publicly announced?
  • Emergency Management TTRPG: A project that is just a bit of an idea right now, where I want to help educate the public on the role of Emergency Management in disasters and beyond using a TTRPG format.

The Palestinian Children’s Relief Fund (PCRF) is still and always in need of donations. Whether you can offer a dollar or a hundred, please do what you can to fund the powerful and direct support the PCRF is offering during this horrific genocide. Continue to share these resources, and do not let yourself become used to the violence and terror that Palestinians are living through. The money donated to the PCRF will not only offer immediate support to families, but will continue to be used to rebuild and recover in the long term.

“Our "Gaza Relief and Recovery" campaign aims to address urgent humanitarian needs and support long-term recovery efforts in Gaza. The funds raised will primarily focus on immediate relief, including providing essential medical supplies, food, medical treatment, clean water, and other necessities for families affected by the conflict. Additionally, our campaign will support rebuilding healthcare facilities and providing long-term support through impactful programs and projects to support the needs of children and the health sector in Gaza. It will also allocate resources towards trauma counseling, mental health support, and other initiatives for children affected by the conflict, aiming to foster healing and resilience within the community.” (PCRF, 2024).

me, struggling to write: hmm, this part is a little difficult. maybe i should check my planning document, which i created as a helpful tool for my writing process!

the planning document:

It's springtime which means i'll be constantly worrying about weather stuff for the next month while trying to finish up the semester 🫠

Even worse I need to be doing esports department work rn and all i can think about is whether i'm gonna be woken up by hail tonight

when u come up with a tiny change for your story that not only makes the writing flow better but also hammers in the character motivations and story theme

the writer’s urge to ask your friends “do you wanna see a little somethin’ i’ve been working on?” when the little somethin’ you’ve been working on is 800 words and ends in the middle of a sentence

im a fucking sucker for the “character gets so badly injured that they can’t think clearly and start calling for help in a distressingly vulnerable way.” characters who start using nicknames for their friends they haven’t used since they were kids. characters who start begging for their brother they haven’t seen in years to be there. characters who would usually use their parents’ names or call them mother/father/etc crying out mama when they go down. u understand.

"I did it for you" has gotta be my favorite form of betrayal. You gave me a gift I never asked for, and now I have to look around at the world you destroyed with the knowledge that it was gift wrapped and addressed to me.

"doesn't this charater under insane stress going through extremely traumatic events realize how inconvenient their irrational emotional reactions are to the people around them?" well, see, you're not gonna believe this, but the thing is,

Yall ever just want to be able to take ur body apart like a puzzle and put it back together? Idk I think if I could just pop myself open, take out my stomach and give it a good wash, re-string my spine, and squish my muscles around a bit it would fix me.

yeah i thin kthats normal
