"Niccolai. Stop."

I heard a familiar voice. Niccolai stops as I looks at him and then behind him.  Vanessa and Theodore. It was Vanessa who said that.

"Or what?" He replies back to her.

"Leave her alone." I heard Vanessa saying it as I felt a spark of hope.

A hope that maybe I can get away from him.

"Oh and who the hell are you to tell me that?" Niccolai says, while letting out a huff of irritation.

"Watch your mouth." Theodore speaks up.

I felt Niccolai getting irritated when Theodore speaks up. He clenched his fist while holding the gun tightly in his other hand.

As if controlling himself to not shoot. I gulps. I should do something... But what?

Niccolai turns back to me.

"Don't come out of the car. If you do, you will pay."

He warns, not waiting for my response and buckles me up and shuts the passenger door loudly, as I flinched. He walks towards them.

"I don't get in your businesses, so it would be fair if you both, will do the same." He says, now standing infront of them, his voice loud enough for me to hear.

"Why can't you just leave her alone? She's not-"

"That's none of your concerns."

"It is my concern-"

She stops abruptly when Niccolai loads his gun, my eyes widened in fear. He point the gun at Theodore, instead of Vanessa.

"I would advise you both to stay away. As far you both can. I'm not interested to be enemies with my own brother- well, you. Theodore. And I would say, that I don't have anything to lose, but you-"

Niccolai stops and looks at Vanessa before continuing.

"-You do have things to lose. Precious things. So. Stay away."

He says, his voice having a threat in it.
Theodore sighs as Vanessa came forward with a scrowl at her face. But Theodore stops her. That's the first time I have seen some sort of ... Fear... On that mob boss's face.

Niccolai smirks before taking some steps backwards, still facing them before turning around and walks back to the car.

He sat in the driver's seat before starting the car and speeding up.

I looks at him as his grey eyes bores into mine. The same emotionless eyes which have no sympathy. Nothing.

I looks out of the window, gulping as I remembered all the things that had occurred today in the event.

I let out a shaky breath when he suddenly rotate the steering wheel, taking a sharp turn towards an empty highway as he stops the car abruptly, accross from the road.

He pat on his lap as I frown.

"Your feet."

He says, in the same dominating and commanding voice of his. I gulps before taking my injured foot out of the heel with the other foot too and turns slightly to the left.

He pat his lap again as I hesitantly put my feet on his lap, careful to not kick anything.

He examines the particular injured foot and starts to massage it.

"Who told you to even run? You could have called me."

"I-I was scared."

"Then you shouldn't. You are with me and I'll not let anyone make you feel scared or even let them hurt you."

He says, almost raising his voice, but he didn't. He never do that. I gulps at the words he said.

How can he say that to me when he is the first person... to ever make me feel scared and insecure about each and every little thing, I thought that is good about me.

He's the person who had hurt me the most, still he is promising that he won't let anyone else hurt me.

"I'm fine."

I mutters, taking my feet back and put them down as he sighs. Not liking my actions but didn't say anything further and continues to drive.

I looks out of the window, everything swirling in my mind as I remembers each and every thing that had happened today.

I gulps, Niccolai and I kissed. And did even more. For which I'm trying to hate myself for that. And then this event thing.

He stopped the car in his personal parking as he got out of the car, walking by my side and opens the door, but before I thought I could come out on my own I felt his hand on my back as he carried me once again. In bridal style.

I put my arms around his neck in caution as he didn't bothered to close the car door, instead telling the guard to do that.

He walks in the mansion, the maids  looks at us, their glances were curious and very questionable as I looks away. Feeling slightly embarassed.

We finally made into the room as he puts me down, and took out my heels, taking a seat beside me on the bed.

"Are you okay?"

"Yes I'm fine."

"Next time. If that ever happens again, I want you to call me. Understand?"

He says, his voice having an edge, a sense of warning with a hint of caring in it to. That just made me more curious of what he was thinking.

I just nods at his response, not saying much. He put his hand on my foot which was still hurting as he starts to massage it, once again.

"It's fine you don't need-"

"Shh."

He shushes me as I looks away. Slightly embarrassed.

~

I looks at her as her cheeks turned pink, in embarassment, I let out a slight smile as our eyes met. She looks at me for a good time before opening her mouth.

"You have dimples."

She says, her voice soft, making me just want to lean in and kiss her. But I controlled myself.

"Yes. I do."

I mutters out, but kept my voice calm and composed not wanting to let her know that how I'm feeling vulnerable because of her. I hate feeling this way, but there is something about her which makes me vulnerable but not enough to make me hate it.

"You should smile more, it suits you."

She mutters as I looks away, she likes my smile. And my dimples. I just knew it by the way she's looking at me.

'Then be the reason for my smile, Aarna.' as much as I wants to say that. I didn't. It will only confuse her more.

"I don't like smiling." I says instead.
