Sales of summer cottages this July were clearly down on the 2022 figures, according to the Federation of Real Estate Agency.
In July some 421 holiday homes were sold, which is down 24.8 percent on the number for 2022 and 31.4 percent down on the five-year average.
The pace of cottage sales usually peaks in July, when Finland's summer holiday season is in full swing.
The most cottage sales took place in South Savo (62 sales) and Southwest Finland (53). The smallest sales figures were recorded in South Ostrobothnia (4) and Central Ostrobothnia (0).
