On Thursday and Friday this week, Finnish President Alexander Stubb will host the annual Kultaranta Talks in Helsinki for the first time. Both days of the event will feature several debates and discussions.
Around 100 leaders, policymakers, researchers, officials and others from Finland and abroad have been invited to the event.
The traditional summer talks are being held in Helsinki again this year as the president's summer residence in Naantali, Kultaranta, is undergoing renovations.
The two-day summit will be held at the Presidential Palace in downtown Helsinki, where debates and talks are set to focus on "resetting Europe in the evolving world order", according to a press release from the Office of the President.
On Thursday the event will be hosted by the editor-in-chief of Swedish daily Dagens Nyheter, Peter Wolodarski.
On Friday, debates will focus on Finland's foreign and security policies, as well as the Nordic country's international role, the office said.
Ukraine peace summit
On Saturday, Stubb is scheduled to travel to Switzerland to attend the 'Summit on Peace in Ukraine'.
The two-day meeting will be held at the Bürgenstock Resort and representatives from around 90 countries and organisations are scheduled to participate.
The conference was organised at the initiative of Ukraine, according to Finnish news service STT.
The aim of the summit is to achieve lasting peace in Ukraine, Swiss broadcaster SRF reported, with half of the summit's participants coming from Europe and the remainder from other countries.
Stubb is also scheduled to hold a number of bilateral meetings on the sidelines of the summit.
Switzerland's Federal Council is scheduled to announce a final list of summit attendees on Friday, SRF reported.
Yle will broadcast the event live on TV1 and its streaming platform, Areena.
