Two legendary rock bands are planning tour stops in Finland next summer.
The American hard rock group Guns N' Roses are scheduled to perform in Tampere on 7 July 2025, while UK punk outfit Sex Pistols featuring Frank Carter are slated to perform at a festival in Pori at the beginning of August.
Formed in 1985 in Los Angeles, Guns N' Roses made their mark on rock marks with hits like Sweet Child O’ Mine, November Rain and Welcome to the Jungle.
On their European tour, the veteran band's lineup will include original vocalist Axl Rose, guitarist Slash, and bassist Duff McKagan.
News about the band's tour dates was announced by a number of websites, and while the venue was not officially specified, social media posts suggest it will be held at Tampere Stadium.
The 7 July engagement is so far the band's only gig in Finland next year.
Sex Pistols featuring Frank Carter
The Sex Pistols featuring Frank Carter are scheduled to perform at the Porispere festival in Pori, which is being held on 1-2 August.
The Sex Pistols' original outspoken and brash vocalist, John Lydon (aka Johnny Rotten), is not taking part in the tour.
Instead, the punk band's guitarist Steve Jones, drummer Paul Cook and bassist Glen Matlock will perform with 40-year-old vocalist Frank Carter, from Frank Carter and the Rattlesnakes.
The Sex Pistols released their first album, Never Mind the Bollocks, Here's the Sex Pistols, in 1977, which included the hit singles Anarchy In the UK, Pretty Vacant and God Save the Queen.
Other bands in the Porispere festival lineup next year include The Sounds from Sweden, as well as domestic acts Apulanta, Egotrippi, Turmion Kätilöt, Ismo Alanko and Kotiteollisuus.
