Ticket prices to an event hosted by former US president Barack Obama at the Nokia Arena in Tampere in May rival those of the biggest international music acts.
Tickets for the event — A Conversation with President Barack Obama — went on sale on Monday, with prices starting at just over 100 euros apiece.
In comparison, ticket prices for UK arena stars Coldplay, who played a series of shows at Helsinki's Olympic Stadium last summer, started at around 56 euros.
Other price ranges for the Obama event include a 680-euro package, which offers ticketholders a view from near the stage, a private entrance, a four-course dinner, access to a reception area and other amenities.
Meanwhile, the price for a single VIP package ticket is more than 1,600 euros, which includes a photo opportunity. VIP packages for two are available for 2,000 euros.
Obama's visit to Tampere is part of an international speaking tour. He made his last address in Finland at the Nordic Business Forum in 2018. Prices to that event were even higher than for the one coming up in May.
At the time, Finnish news outlet MTV reported that a business forum ticket package which included a photo opportunity with Obama was priced at 2,540 euros, while regular tickets were nearly 1,000 euros.
