Italian Art Deco: Graphic Design Between the Wars (Chronicle Books, 1993) was part of a Chronicle series of books on international modern graphic design, edited by Steven Heller with various co-editors (for this volume, Louise Fili). Unfortunately the series is out-of-print, but Euro Deco collects images from many of the volumes.
While I sometimes have a negative response to this style (over-exposure to mass-market French deco posters for college students), I love these images and the ones from the recent Japanese book cover posts. I look forward to researching the designers featured in the book.
