＜研究の背景と経緯＞ 人間の腸には常に１００兆個以上の腸内細菌が生息しており、その腸内細菌が免疫のバランスを制御し、健康を維持する要因であると考えられています。一方で最新の研究では腸内細菌叢の乱れや偏りが、潰瘍性大腸炎やクローン病などの炎症性腸疾患と呼ばれる消化管粘膜に炎症を生じる病気の悪化に関与していると考えられています。これらの疾患は、厚生労働省により「特定疾患」に指定されている難病です。就学・就労を控えた２０歳代を中心に発症し、国内の患者数が約１６万人を超えたことから、社会的にも大きな問題となりつつあるため、その原因の解明と治療法の確立が望まれています。また食物アレルギーをはじめ様々なアレルギー性疾患も腸内細菌と関連することが分かっています。さらに糖尿病や肥満などの代謝性疾患や自閉症などの精神疾患と腸内細菌叢との関連までもが示唆されています。そのため、腸内細菌叢を調節することで、これ

2015年7月8日、講談社と学研ホールディングスが、共同企画「子どもの読書実態調査」の結果速報を公表しています。 小学4年生～中学3年生の読書実態に関する調査を共同で実施したもので、調査はインターネットにより実施し（調査期間は、2015年3月13日（金）～3月15日（日））、サンプル数1,200名（各学年男女100名ずつ）の子どもに対して、保護者付き添いのもとで回答してもらったとのことです。 今回の調査の結果、親の読書量や家族との会話・団らんといった家庭環境と子どもの読書量が大いに関係していること、そして、熱中していることが多い子どもほど読書量も多いことが明らかになったとのことです。 両社は、今後、さらなる詳細分析を進めるとともに、本調査結果を踏まえ、読書を通じた家族のコミュニケーションの深化を目的とした企画を積極的に展開していく予定だそうです。 講談社＆学研共同企画「子どもの読書実態調査

米国ミネソタ州南東部のシルバー湖で、7月中・下旬の週末に、実験的な公衆芸術のプロジェクト「フローティング・ライブラリー」が今年も実施されるようです。 2013年に、同州のミネアポリス・シダー湖で開始されたこの取組みは、カヌーやカヤック、ボートなどにのっている人などを対象に、側面にカバーつきの置き場を備え付けた、特別に設計された筏にのって、全米から集められた作品（本）の貸出しや声掛けを行うものです。この取組みで用いられる作品は、アーティストによる、本やパンフレット等印刷物の形をとったもので、耐水性の紙や濡れてもよいものが推奨されています。 本の返却は自主性に任せられていて、筏に返却するか、シルバーウッドパーク湖岸に設置されたボックスに返せばよいという仕組みのようです。 なお、「フローティング・ライブラリー」では、浮き輪を使っている人など、泳いでいる人も対応はしているとのことですが、シルバー湖

教科書の「介護は低賃金重労働」、修正要望−関連6団体が出版社に http://headlines.yahoo.co.jp/hl?a=20150713-00000004-cbn-soci 福祉現場からすれば、教科書でまでネガティブな情報ばかりを流すのは勘弁してほしい（加えて、このニュースをYahooのトップに載せるのも）。 自分は障害福祉分野だけれど、「低賃金」と言われれば、確かに強く反論できるほどの業界ではないのかもしれない。厚労省による平成25年賃金構造基本統計調査によれば、「社会保険、社会福祉、介護」分野（「介護」と「福祉」はやや違うのだが、以下、まとめて福祉職と呼ぶ）の年収は340万円（平均41.2歳）となる。全産業の平均は480万円くらい（平均42.1歳）なので、確かに「組織の規模も分野も問わない平均」と比べれば、低い。 ただ、福祉職はそんなに特別視されるほどの低賃金なのだろうか。

東京スクエアガーデン、東京ガーデンテラス、品川シーズンテラス、テラススクエア――。東京都心部で次々と大規模オフィスビルが完成している。ただ、どのビルの名前もなんとなく聞いたことがあるようなものばかり。どれもこれも似通っていて、ぼんやりしていると行き先のビルを間違えてしまうこともありそうだ。 オフィス仲介大手の三幸エステートが7月10日、「オフィスビル名称の傾向分析」と題したレポートを発表した。東京23区内に立っている基準階面積200坪以上の大規模オフィスビル1881棟と、同50坪以上200坪未満の大型・中型ビル9023棟を対象に、ビルの名称に使われている言葉の傾向を分析したものだ。 竣工後に名称が変わってしまったビルもあるが、2015年6月時点の名称で調べている。新しいビルの名前で目立つのは、テラス、ガーデン、スクエアといった単語。最近こういった単語の付いているビルが急に増えている気がする

絶滅のおそれがあるニホンウナギの代わりにできないかと、近畿大学の研究グループが、うなぎのような味がするなまずを開発し、１３日、大阪で試食会が開かれました。 このなまずは奈良市にある近畿大学農学部水産学科の有路昌彦准教授の研究グループが、およそ６年間かかって養殖技術の研究を重ねて開発しました。なまずはもともとは淡泊な白身魚ですが、餌の与え方を工夫し、鹿児島県のきれいな湧き水を利用した養殖場で育てることで、うなぎに近い脂ののった味わいや歯ごたえになったということです。 試食した人は「本当にうなぎの蒲焼のようです。おいしい」と話していました。 ニホンウナギは生息数が大幅に減少し、このところ値段が高止まりしていて、有路准教授は「味だけでなく栄養の面でもうなぎに負けないので、今後流通ルートを確立し、広く食べてもらえるようにしたい」と話していました。 「うなぎ味のなまず」は、今月２４日の土用の丑の日に
