Watching this movie is like following the ghost of Christmas past. Dat Nostalgia. It just takes me right back to my childhood and boy does it hold up. Great songs, hilarious, at times both heartwarming and heartbraking and featuring Micheal Cane (which I did not care about when I was five but recognise now). Possibly my favourite Christmas movie.

Freaks 1932
Yet another that's hard to rate; this time because of the exploitative nature of the title and the endearingness of the material (up until the last five minutes). The acting is at times quite bad (here's looking at you Daisy Earles). Like I said, the "freaks" were treated quite well for the most part but the shameless double standard of the ending with them turning into murderous monsters left a sick taste in my mouth and knocked half a star off my rating.
