What stood out to me were the abrupt transitions and certain scenes where the foreground seemed overlaid onto the background (i.e. the shot of little kids on a spinning roundabout that takes up a quarter of the screen).
We as humans also abruptly tear down nature to enact our ridiculous wiles — a glamping retreat for city goers. There’s no consideration for the impact on the other humans who already live there or the disruption of the deer’s migratory pattern.…

So much to say about this one, but when the white gay roomie said, Every time you’re doing this, you’re letting them win, I was bewildered!!! Literally no trauma sensitivity whatsoever!
Things were a little interesting in the middle when exploring abusive relationships, being closeted, and power plays. But it’s bookended by such triggering, anti-Black, transphobic violence that we don’t really need right now.
Also, where was Jules’ drag family? How did they come to perform in a vacuum without any semblance of community and support?
