I don’t know whose decision it was to put Jodie Foster in that red lipstick but what were you thinking? Whether she played a real person or not… is irrelevant. I couldn’t buy a word she said coming out of those crimson lips. Anyone who knows her or her work would tell you that she isn’t going to wear read lipstick, ever.

This movie is a perfect example of a film with a lot of “Oscar buzz” that fizzles at the end. Michelle Pfeiffer’s performance was only as good as the crazy bitch socialite she is hiding behind. The laugh in the kitchen ruined it for me and I wonder if perhaps her acting somehow parallels her personal life (for the rest of the movie). Is it acting? With all of the plastic surgery, it’s hard to tell. Why Hollywood wants actresses…
