I absolutely loved this take on the Ninja Turtles. They nailed it, capturing all their teenage angst and longings. It feels like the screenwriters really thought about who these characters are and what their lives might be like. They honestly asked themselves and put the effort in imagining "What would it be like to grow up in the sewers as mutant turtles?" Incredible how this massive production rests on the shoulders of a little kid. I can’t imagine all the extras, the smoke, the explosions, everything, while young Christian Bale hears “Action!” and has to deliver without messing up.

I was wondering if this is possibly the first real Gen Z movie. Its nihilistic philosophies and the amount of information happening just seems so contemporary. And I don’t mean only narrative information, I also mean visual information. I kept feeling that a faster-younger brain would enjoy it even more than I did.
