It was beautiful and I'm sobbing. The kind of hope and love that I needed to see right now.
The score soared and it didn't feel like a DreamWorks movie at all (especially at first)! It was odd watching this after Flow - I had to get used to talking animals again. But wow, what a movie 💖
This... has to be at least 50% parody, right?? Only, the movie also plays it pretty straight, so who can say. But for a while I seriously wondered if Jason Statham was somehow reprising his character from Spy - if Rick Ford had retired and tried to go into beekeeping. Similar vibes in silliness and intensity!
