challenge: pasek and paul write a song that doesn’t sound like every other belty power ballad they’ve ever written.
    difficulty level: impossible, apparently.

this wasn’t the worst thing i’ve ever seen, but it certainly wasn’t good. the pacing was all over the place and almost no emotional moment felt earned. gal gadot’s performance is a crime. as are sandy powell’s costumes. rachel zegler innocent.

why fight monster when you can fuck monster???

as a theatre director, this film is unhinged (this is not how professional theatre works). as a hopeless romantic who loves monster movies, this film is a gift.
